okay, so a polar bear walks into a bar. he sits down at the bar and says i’ll have a... beer. the bartender says “sure man” and gives him the beer. he comes in a week later and says “i’ll have a...beer”. the bartender says “sure man.” he comes in three more weeks in a row and says the same thing “i’ll have a... beer.” finally, the bartender has to ask. he says “hey man, what’s with the big pause?” so the polar bear looks down at his hands and says “uh- i don’t know i was just born like this.

Ethan immediately regretted doubling back into kitchen to snag a post workout granola bar. If had known he was going to bump into the one person he was either pissing off or getting with then he probably would have done those extra burpees. “Er— sorry?” The athlete said it more like a question, scratching the back of his head as he quirked a brow at Kaia. As per usual, he had no clue what the hell he had done to piss her off this time let alone the last time he texted something in the group chat. He didn’t dwell on it though, figuring she was probably right and he might as well cover his bases. “So, uh—does this mean you wanted to like make-up and bang or something?”

Kaia had meant it when she said it in the groupchat, that she never planned to touch Ethan again, though she couldn’t remember why. “That didn’t sound very sincere to me,” she says with a roll of her eyes, getting up to clear her place. Most days she couldn’t stand Ethan, that was nothing new, but recently she’d glared just a little harder when he passed by. Her plate clangs in the sink as he mentions banging, slowly turning to look at him, “Are you serious right now?”

Eden couldn’t help the loud, dramatic sigh of relief that escaped her lips as she spotted Kaia in her bedroom doorway. The last few days had gone by in a whirlwind of cocktails and listening to Jagged Little Pill on repeat all in hopes of getting a certain kook off her mind. However, if there was one person who could provide a much needed distraction it was definitely her surrogate big sister. “I thought you’d never ask.” The brunette whined playfully as she joined Kaia and plopped down on her bed beside her. She kicked up her legs up behind her and tucked a hand beneath her chin, a smile framing her features.“I’m literally game for anything.”

Kaia knew that something was going on with her friend, and though she had a pretty good idea, she wasn’t exactly sure. And she didn’t want to ask about it, in fear of upsetting Eden. However, she could provide a useful distraction, which she considered much better than talking about your feelings. “Good, because I am, too,” she says with a grin, turning her head to look at the other girl, “What should we do? Steal a golf cart? A car? We could go pay a visit to Tammy, she’d love to be on camera.”
