summer is the freshly painted shed with deep red flowers sprouting around the pond. its the ice cold drinks on the red hot days where nothing is moving and everything stays; in the cool, the shade amongst the summer haze. summer is the comfort of the treacherous pool, chillingly cool under the tall oak trees. summer is loose tees, falling over the light shorts and skirts as the aching sunburn hurts.
