@kaijao
I have such a weakness for characters who act all stoic and cool but would get so flustered if their partner just kissed them on the cheek

I said: I could be a wolf for you. I could put my teeth on your throat. I could growl. I could eat you whole. I could wait for you in the dark. I could howl against your hair.

“Oh what’s this? You have books?? I must see!!!”
Reason #1 why taking photos for my booklr is always a struggle 😑😂
Why are you still here? (..but thanks for staying anyway)
Hello everyone, I can’t believe you are still here, meaning still following me after I’ve basically been absent for over two months now; but thank you for staying with me, I was quite pleasantly surprised (what’s with the fancy language, let’s be real I was so shocked I thought my eyes would pop out any second). My family had to go through some really tough stuff and even though we’ve all learned to deal somehow we’re all still quite shook. That’s also the reason I was gone for so long and it’s all I’m going to say about that topic for now. But once again, I’m so happy to see so many of you stayed with me. (Or I just dont have any presence and people didnt even notice I was gone but let’s pretend that’s not it okay? :P ) Let’s go on to the more enjoyable stuff. Quite a lot of stuff is happening in my life that gives me a boost every now and then and I’d just like to share a few of them with you. So: - I’m in my last year of linguistic sciences right now and even though things get a lot more difficult as time goes by (as per usual) I’m also really enjoying the challenges that I’m facing currently. This semester I decided to write a paper on language development of children with hearing impaired parents, which I find really fascinating (my guess is that sign language would be their first language then). I’m thinking of learning some sign language on the side as well as my research progresses, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see if I have time for that. - Guess what? I’m taking ICE SKATING LESSONS! :D Truth is, I’m a pretty decent ice skater but things like driving backwards and the more fancy stuff is a bit out of my league. My sister and my best friend have decided to join me on this little adventure and after our first lesson yesterday I can definitely say that it’s one of the most fun things I’ve done in a long time. We’re thinking about filming some of our progress, so you might get to see us dorking around sometime in the future ;) - Book hauls have been a thing recently, not sure if you guys would like to see some of it but it’s HUGE. We went to a flea market some time ago where we bought 36 books for 5€ I mean come on what was up with that? Really good books too! Plus this weekend I went to the flea market at the Japanese school here in Vienna where I stocked up on my Japanese books. Got some really cute stuff, might share that with you some time (those covers give me all the cutesy feels!) - And last but not least: YURI ON ICE IS A THING EVERYONE! My obsession with ice skating started way before this, so no, I did not (only :P ) take up ice skating lessons because of this anime but gods damn it is that show GOOOOD. Have you seen it? Any opinions? Guess that’s it then. Don’t know if any of you managed to stay until the end (it was a really long text, not sure if I would have stayed myself :P) but if you did, I’d love to hear about what’s been happening in your life recently? Found a new hobby? Discovered your true passion? Or maybe you just feel like telling someone about this nice thing that happened today? Shoot me a message, I’d adore to hear your life updates! Cupcakes and kisses, Katrin

A tale of swordplay and sorcery, mortality and music, set in modern-day Japan. Start the new YA fantasy readers are calling “epic” and “captivating” now! http://smarturl.it/AMortalSong
Sora’s Life was full of magic–until she discovered it was all a lie.
Heir to Mt. Fuji’s spirit kingdom, Sora yearns to finally take on the sacred kami duties. But just as she confronts her parents to make a plea, a ghostly army invades the mountain. Barely escaping with her life, Sora follows her mother’s last instructions to a heart-wrenching discovery: she is a human changeling, raised as a decoy while her parents’ true daughter remained safe but unaware in modern-day Tokyo. Her powers were only borrowed, never her own. Now, with the world’s natural cycles falling into chaos and the ghosts plotting an even more deadly assault, it falls on her to train the unprepared kami princess.
As Sora struggles with her emerging human weaknesses and the draw of an unanticipated ally with secrets of his own, she vows to keep fighting for her loved ones and the world they once protected. But for one mortal girl to make a difference in this desperate war between the spirits, she may have to give up the only home she’s ever known.
With its breathtaking action, heart-wrenching conflict, and unexpected romance, this vivid standalone YA fantasy will delight fans of Julie Kagawa and Laini Taylor.

Safely arrived in Japan
Landed safely, found our hotel, got some food and took a walk in the evening. We even managed to NOT crash into our beds as soon as we got to our rooms, so the jetleg probably won't be that bad. Currently wearing a face sheet mask with a Japanese youkai painted on it and feeling pretty damn fabulous. Gonna need some sleep soon though. Hope you all had a wonderful day ❤️
4 more hours til our flight to Japan :D Wish you all beautiful summer holidays!
