duality and contrasts: by combining animal parts, the chimera represents the coexistence of opposites, such as strength and vulnerability, courage and fear, and life and death. force of nature: as a fire-breathing beast, the chimera symbolizes the uncontrollable and destructive forces of nature .

the  woman  in  the  pink  dress  made  her  way  across  the  plains,  a  cart  full  of  delicate  blooms  varying  in  size,  shape  and  color.  of  a  like  many  had  never  seen  before.  kainé  looked  on  with  a  sense  of  awe,  grateful  for  the  the  sun  which  shone  radiantly  over  the  hills,  keeping  any  shade  from  interrupting  the  woman's  journey.  the  feeling  of  wonder,  however,  was  quickly  overcome  by  a  sense  of  bitterness  as  she  saw  the  woman  drawing  closer  to  the  path  to  the  aerie.  𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦'𝑙𝑙  𝑟𝑢𝑖𝑛  𝑖𝑡,  kainé  thought,  a  frown  etching  itself  deeper  upon  her  features.  then,  to  her  own  surprise,  she  found  herself  calling  out  to  the  woman.
