You're dripping like a saturated sunrise | Griffin & Kai
“What the fuck are you blathering about? You’re not making any goddamn sense! All I mentioned was the fucking rat and you -” Griffin couldn’t continue, breaking off into frustrated noises and sounds. When he regained speech, it was to shriek. “Your work? What fucking WORK INVOLVES A RAT? Did I miss something? Am I not keeping up, not with the fucking Boy Wonder?”
He suddenly felt exposed, like a godforsaken nerve. His skin crawled under Malakai’s words and he recoiled. “No, no you do not get to fucking play this game.” Griffin pointed at Malakai, his whole body vibrating with - what? Rage, he was going with rage. He was burning red fucking hot, baby. “That’s not fucking fair. Do you think I stick around for all our lovely fucking brunches in fucking Timfuckyou? No. Why the fuck do you care what the fuck goes on, if I just get in the way of YOUR WORK?”
The rest of what Malakai had to say was drowned out by then, in a whitewash of static. He threw himself off the bed, unable to bear even fucking touching the same sheets suddenly. Griffin gave Makalai a wide fucking berth as he walked around the empty dorm, not wanting to come even close to his fucking boyfriend because suddenly, he wasn’t fucking worthy enough to (bet fucking that bumblefuck Richards was). “Fucking call me when you want a fucking rimjob again or whatever, Malakai. Holy fuck -” The door cut off the rest of his tirade as he stormed through Ravenclaw tower in his fucking boxer briefs.
“You know exactly what I’m talking about, Griffin! Don’t act like you’re dumb. You’re better than that!” He retorted, his throat already hoarse from the screaming. For a brief moment he was impressed, again, that the person he was currently shouting at could manage to do it all the time. Only for a moment, though. He was angry, fire hot rage, and he needed to let it all out. Malakai wasn’t even fully sure he knew exactly why he was angry anymore, just that he was.
“Game? Of course you would think it’s a fucking game. Everything is a game to you Griffin.” He shook his head and paced again. The words were just coming out now without reason. “Why do you stick around Griffin?” And almost as if he was responding to him with action, his boyfriend was on his feet. The cold berth between them was chilling and a feeling Malakai was all too familiar with. Like lightening, it struck him that he could be crossing the line and that Griffin wasn’t going to take any more of his madness. But before he could bridge that gap, Griffin was gone.
“FINE! JUST RUN AWAY LIKE YOU ALWAYS DO!” He screamed at the closed door and fell to his knees right there in the middle of the dorm. Only a few tears came, he was too used to the feeling of abandonment to give out more. Besides, this wasn’t their first rodeo and most likely wouldn’t be their last. Some part of Kai knew that, but it was not the part that had hold of him then. No, he was still too angry and ashamed and sad about it all to focus on that or to be bold enough to chase after the half naked boy he adored. Instead he sat there on the cold floor, and fought with the floor and screamed at the walls.
