His hand slipped out of Cora's grasp. Riley hadn't expected Adonis to be at the coffee shop, let alone on campus. He had worked it out that way. His father would come to visit and Cora, bless her heart, would act as though they were a couple. It was easier this way. Safer. Their relationship was only a few weeks old and Riley wasn't ready to fully open up about his father. He didn't know how his boyfriend would handle his father's blatant homophobia. But, it didn't seem like he had a choice anymore. The blond grabbed his boyfriend's wrist, his large hands encompassing all of it. "Sit down. It's going to be a long story..."

"I said that I'm in love with you."

The sounds of his heart thumping against his rib cage was surely audible. Riley pressed his lips to every inch of Adonis' face until finally bringing them to his lips. He kept them there, his boyfriend's top lip settled between both of his. He let his eyes flutter closed and pressed his forehead to Adonis'. When their lips detached, Riley's stretched into a face-splitting grin. "Likewise, babe." 

"Did you even love me?"

Riley couldn't believe what he was hearing. He pressed his lips into a hard line and leaned against the door frame of the front entrance. "Did, Adonis? Did? You have got to be fucking with me." His fingers clenched and unclenched at his sides as he tried to calm himself. He was hurt and angry. At the both of them. Riley knew their relationship was anything but easy. But, he hadn't expected this break up to be final. Frankly, he still didn't. He didn't want to lead a life without Adonis. "I still love you, Adonis Xavier. I'm still in love with you." Inhaling through his nose and then exhaling through his lips, Riley did the best he could to calm himself down. "I think I always will be. So, don't even dare thinking otherwise."

"How high are you?"

A laugh bubbled against his lips before spilling over into the open air. Riley couldn't control his laughter as he leaned against his boyfriend's shoulder. He nestled himself into the crook of Adonis' neck, his nose brushing up against the skin there. His shoulder shook with every sound that seemed to be coming from somewhere deep in his gut. Riley hardly acted like this. Sure, he was a giggler whenever he smoked, but never this bad. Maybe it was the elation of being pressed against the Greek God next to him or maybe he just had a few too many hits of some really good weed. Either way, he felt floaty and happy. And he really wouldn't trade that or his position next to Adonis for anything in the world.
