Cultural Appreciation vs Cultural Appropriation. Khloe and Scott and whoever the hell that other guy is are wearing culturally significant items as a joke to a Halloween costume, while Angelina Jolie is showing respect for a culture by wearing traditional garb. There is a difference between the two. Wearing a bindi to Coachella because it looks “cute” vs actually taking the time to learn about the culture are two very different things. If you want to show appreciation for a culture that is not yours than that’s fine, but just don’t take things from other cultures bc they are “cute” ignoring the significance of the item.
*I’m really not trying to vilify Khloe and Scott I just used them as a example
