I was looking at a Reddit post and they all insist that when Will is flirting with Mike at the field, which is funny that they acknowledge it because it means that Will decided to flirt with Mike even though Mike was still supposedly with Jane, which doesn’t make sense for Will, why would he do that?
But well, they insist that after the push Mike left “lightly upset” and “looks awkward”
Well this is not the face of someone who looks upset, I think that argument it’s stupid, he actually leans in slightly, and his eyes are literally glowing, if the real intent to make this scene “show us” that Mike doesn’t reciprocate, I think there are many ways to do it, like, allow Will to confess his feelings, close the cyrano trope by confessing the painting, and see how Mike reacts?
I think they didn’t do it because they knew they wrote themselves into a corner, they knew that there was no way of closing their arcs without exploring the possibility of Mike reciprocating.
Also most of the people on Reddit call Jane “Eleven”, I don’t take opinions from people who call her like that, in the year of our lord 2026
