@astrohistoria
Head bowed in reverence the Rikugun-Jun-i didn’t dare to look at her, keeping his gaze trained directly on his own boots, just polished, clean and proper like his uniform; arms straight to his side, as should.
Daring to speak as he did was blasphemy, but more blasphemy was the crude state of the site — the way they received her, displaying the rawness of war.

Deep down he knew the Officer was right, that the behavior from (self nicknamed) Sticks shouldn’t be left for granted. He needed the rehabilitation, but what good was it ? How many times had he just mentioned he had caught the man red handed and thrown behind bars only for him to fall back to his delinquent behavior.
This was only meant to be a fling that would end as soon as he returned to Tokyo, and while certainly Sticks did his best to not be a bother to Kurosawa he had given him enough headaches than necessarily needed, adding further to his list of frustrations and untampered negativity he kept well under lock.
He’d taken the news well for a man of his caliber, not bating a single eyelash throughout the whole conversation outside the hospital door, the pastel, baby-blue colored curtain blocking the inside view of what little the ajar door left to view. They’d kept their voice a low whisper all the while, himself taking more a role of listener than active speaker, head bobbing up and down with small breaks of added yes (not a western yes of full agreement but the Japanese yes of I am listening, but might or not care neither agree or accept); turning first his gaze then his neck towards the room when he heard Sticks speak inside. Then back to him with a seemingly lackluster interest. But this wasn’t about interest or emotions, it was about handling matters as should, like some sort of business transaction that required a through over view and delicate handling. He was a stoic man who rarely seemed to smile, of a strict, iron upbringing that left anyone to wonder how the addict inside room 3567 had earned as contact. Especially such that marked them as close when his number laid scribbled on a Call in case of Emergency card.
When the German finishes is when he speaks, and when he does his soft voice is firm, almost strangling in it’s emotionlessness. ❝ Your suggestion is a rehabilitation center. ❞ A statement, not a question.
❝ Without offense, Mr…. ❞ his gaze dropped over to the name tag on his breast. ❝…Meyer, if I am to sign anything, I want results... ❞
Tearing things apart, you say? Ohhhhh, so you fantasize about BEING the tentacle monster, is that it? Ooh la la, how kinky of you~ B3
The stranger seemed intent on knowing. What a shame it was then that it was not him who controlled all so as to exemplify the folly of mankind — unafraid of the unknown, seeking things best left to be untampered; he only bared the weight.
A weight that had increased on his shoulders notoriously, impairing him on days when his back just couldn't give. Sometimes it felt like it would crack. And then the voices...
His right leg quivers in its attempt to rise his feet, showing just how arduous taking one single step forward is. Rising it off the ground only three inches is a long hurled, and it falls down heavy and stiff, giving his body an almost zombiefied sway and lurch forward. That's when he knows it — no they — want out. When the weight is unbearable and the voices screech in a silent choir of heretical pain. The ghosts, they are always hungry without offerings. ❝...Wouldn't you like to see.... ❞
Something quivers in the air.
‘The Demon’s face is not a fearful face. It’s a face wreathed in smiles.’
“I’m sorry, I’m having trouble hearing you. I’m getting a lot of bullshit on this line.”
Mass Effect starters — no longer accepting
❝ If the ears are useless, maybe we should cut them. ❞
“Wait, that metaphor just went somewhere horrible.”

❝ This is why you think before you speak, Miss. ❞ he doesn’t care to add her last name, it’s atrocious to the tongue, and calling her by the nickname the men of his ranks placed on her would mean acknowledging her as equal. The stoicism remains. When he forces himself to move it is to tap his fingers twice against the table, unimpressed by her words, mainly because he didn’t exactly understood her point, her American accent was horrendous, though not the worst he had heard. Some things simply don’t translate well, things get lost or distorted with such ease. Points in special. ❝ It’s a waste of breathe; and my time. ❞
Would any of those fantasies happen to involve tentacles? B3 It's tentacles, isn't it.
❝ I once dreamt about mutilating flowers… ❞
Crimson in color, shimmering wet.
❝ Splayed out like fingers. They screamed. ❞ They wreathed like the maggots that crawled over the dead bodies. Tons of them en mass that made the bloated, still corpses alive; wreathing tentacles. It wasn’t enjoyable, except ❝ I only enjoyed the feeling of tearing things apart….❞
Quick, Takeo! Name your most embarrassing sexual fantasy, the one you keep a secret from everyone.
❝ なに? ❞ surprise doesn’t line his words. He’s neither shocked or ashamed; westerners, he had learned, were loud, unruly, and uncivilized men without a single pint of restrain, constantly touching areas they shouldn’t, both physically and verbally. Of course he is not a prude, he is merely reserved. ❝ Do you plan on helping ? — いいえ ? — Then what is the point ? ❞
“Can it wait for a bit? I’m in the middle of some calibrations.”
Mass Effect starters — no longer accepting
❝ When I say now it means now. ❞ he makes it a point to make the last louder, as if he were a father speaking to his stubborn child, and only because he seemed to have been cursed with such a silky, soft voice; thought those are always the darkest and most threatening. ❝ I will not repeat myself again. You come here now. ❞

AMBITION
You have a strong sense of potential and an intense drive to accomplish difficult things. The core of this is your ability to hold together the big goals and the daily efforts. Where other people’s hopes collapse when they encounter the tedium of the journey, you keep coming back. Oddly, it is actually your ability to endure feeling unheroic that counts. You know the power of working away solidly on what’s in front of you.
REVERENCE
One part of you dreams of giving yourself up – perhaps just for a while – to a hero or mentor. In the right circumstances you can flourish by letting go of your ego. In your inner life, reverence plays out as a willing submission to your own conscience. In the outside world, you might get frustrated searching for something worth believing in – a country, a person, a company – but you will always be open to feeling respect, admiration and wonder.
RESILIENCE
You have a tendency, after a setback, to turn your emotions towards restriving. What attracts you is the idea of wiping out a humiliation by resumed action – overcoming weakness, repressing your fear. Because part of your motive is pride, you can sometimes be unwilling to admit weakness or to receive aid. But at heart, tour insistence on coming back and never folding has taught you a valuable pessimism: you know that important journeys are never easy.
