"Oh, it was a sci-fi series about the military back in the 60s. Obviously, there wasn't going to be a gay couple. Obviously, you're just imagining things".
So why put the two of them alone in a dark, cramped diving bell, gazing at each other like one was the most beautiful thing in the world, all set to sentimental music? It really looked like they were about to kiss. How do you expect me to be sensible and *not* ship that?
I think my problem with ships is that I always read too much between the lines—things that might not even be there. Like, I hear "Are you okay?" and immediately interpret it as "I love you" or "I can't live without you." That’s why I end up shipping couples that don't actually exist. And that’s why I’m so attached to *this* ship—because they say things like that at least once every episode. My mind just runs wild!
It really sucks to like something and have no one to talk about it with—neither in real life nor on the Internet. There’s so much I want to say, ask, and explain, but there’s no one to share it with. Even here, where you’d find every fandom and ship in the world, there’s no one around. It feels like I’m just talking to the walls. No likes, no comments. It’s sad!
I’ve come to a conclusion. I know I tend to go overboard and dream up pairings that don't actually exist. But, most of the time, the writers are to blame. I mean, who comes up with a series where every single regular character is a man? Why did you have to be so sexist? A woman might show up once in a blue moon, but that’s it—she never returns. In the final season, not a single woman appeared, not even for a guest spot. So, if there are no women around, who do you expect me to pair the guys up with—the submarine? It’s impossible for me to watch 110 episodes of a series without rooting for a couple. I’m sorry, but you forced me to ship them.
At least in *Star Trek*, there were women on board; even though no relationship came close to "Spirk," you could at least argue that Jim was a ladies' man who was only into women. In *Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea*, there wasn't a single hint of a relationship between the main characters and women. So, forgive me if I got confused. Don't blame me—blame the writers and the producer.
I really wish I knew how to make edits. But I'm too dumb to do it. It's just that my ship is so obscure that there's nothing about them. I had even thought about the song. A wonderful one that was used in a Spirk edit and it would also suit them. I miss seeing material about them on websites. Very sad.
One thing that always caught my attention in Star Trek was the size of the Enterprise. How could 430 people fit on that ship? And have so many compartments (bridge, sickbay, engineering, mess hall, recreation rooms, gymnasium, laboratories, meeting rooms, auditorium, and each person's cabin)?
But now that I've seen Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, it's even worse. How could 125 people fit in a submarine the size of nothing? With corridors the size of the world, staircases, missile room, reactor room, that room with all the submarine controls, cells, sailors' quarters, officers' cabins, engine room, garage for the flying submarine, laboratory, sickbay, and the boat's control room? Well, I know nobody here watches it, but it catches my attention. But, as a soap opera writer from my country said, "woe to those who don't know how to fly."
Another silly poll just to distract.
Considering only the TOS series, who do you think was more jealous? Or at least showed it more?
Who seemed more jealous?
Kirk
Spock
Both
Neither of them. They were just friends.
Eu comprando livros novos todo mês.
Os livros que comprei há cinco anos e ainda não li.
If I earned 1 real (my country's currency) for every time I shipped a Captain with a science genius capable of sacrificing their own life to save his ship, I'd have 2 reais, which isn't much, but it's a coincidence that it happened twice.
Just a silly poll to distract me.
In that iconic massage scene, what do you think Spock was feeling/thinking?
In that iconic massage scene, what do you think Spock was feeling/thinking?
Mocking the Captain for thinking he was giving the massage.
Embarrassment at seeing what Jim was thinking.
Jealousy at seeing the woman touching Jim.
Another option. Comment.
I really need to stop seeing "shipping" in everything I see on television... 🙈🙈
Men can have friends without wanting to marry them.
I wrote this post thinking mainly about this last ship, which nobody ships and I had to invent a name for because nobody had one. But how can I stop shipping them if with each episode I watch, they become more intimate and more dependent? Just yesterday I saw such an intimate scene that I went crazy. It's impossible! I don't know how nobody shipped them before. Is it possible that only I'm this crazy?
Estou tão cansada! E hoje ainda é quarta-feira. E o feriado é só semana que vem. Será que eu chego viva lá?

A feeling of longing:
I miss them so much. 😭😭😭
I'm really enjoying Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. I'm on the last season already and I'm loving it. Obviously, there are some cringe-worthy moments. I must say that my favorite character is the Admiral. He's the smartest, always has a last-minute solution. But I also love Chief Shark. I found it interesting that he only appeared in the second season because the one from the first season died. I was shocked when I found out. But he grew throughout the seasons and is definitely the funniest character in the series. I love his interactions with the Admiral and the Captain. The Admiral teasing him is great. And him always asking indiscreet questions. It's brilliant.
