✧}— “O-O-Onee-san?!” She exclaimed, finally noticing what they had called her. They’re so cute..! I-I have to help them! She thought whilst holding their hands. “O-Of course I will..! J-Just follow me..!” She said before she started walking off down the street.

     "A-Ah, onee-san...?" The twins turned to look up at the girl. Though they were holding onto her hands tightly and being taken along, they were a bit startled by her response. "I-Is something wrong? Is 'onee-san' no good...?"

They looked up at her for some kind of response, since her reaction seemed to make the twins think that she was offended in some way.

✧}— When the children had attached to her legs, a surprised little gasp left her lips. “A-Ah..!”

✧}— “I-I-I think I know where that i-is..!” She exclaimed. Sawako still had a surprised expression from them, since most children were scared of her she wasn’t quite used to this.

     "You do?!" The twins said, almost jumping with sudden excitement. "Oh thank goodness~ now maybe we can get home after all..." Smiling, the two grabbed the grocery bags again and each boy took a hand of the older girl.

"Onee-san, can you take us there?" Glancing at her with hopeful eyes. Though the twins were fearful of her appearance at first, they could tell she had a kind heart... after all, she just offered to help them.

✧}— “Y-You two are lost..? If you’d like I can h-help you get home.. Y-You poor children.” The aura that surrounded her suddenly turned a little depressing. I-I have to help them..! There’s no way they can find their way.. "I-If you tell me your address, I-I think I might be able to find your residence." She told them. I hope I can help..!

     "O-Onee-san..." Touched by her kindness, the twins hobbled over and clung to her legs, letting the grocery bags fall to the floor. "O-Our address is... um..." The twins stared at each other, trying to remember. When they failed to do so, they stared at the girl.

"Well... uh... we go to Nanohana Kindergarten! Do you know where that is?" Perhaps if she knew where their school was, they would be able to go home.

✧}— I-It was obviously my fault for not focusing where I was going. D-Don’t apologize you sweet children..! Sawako bowed as well, since she had always thought that accidents happened because of her. “N-No, i-it’s my fault as well..! P-Please don’t apologize, it wasn’t your fault..”

     The kind gesture from the girl resonated well with the young twins, who began to understand her kind nature (despite her appearance). "I-It's okay," they giggled. "We both apologized, so it should be okay, right, onee-san?" Smiling up at the girl, the twins were glad the matter was resolved easily.

"O-Oh no, we have to go home..." Suddenly realizing that the sun was getting lower, the twins knew their brother would scold them if it took them this long to run errands. "But..." Suddenly, the two paused. "Wh-Where are we?" With a shock, the twins realized that they had wandered off to some unknown location.

✧}— The youth had a long day at school today, but she was finally done around 4 o’clock. As she was strolling home, she had unintentionally bumped into some children from exhaustion. “Ah, I-I’m sorry you two..!”

     Pulled from their sleepy reverie, the twins suddenly noticed the tall figure looming over them. "W-We're sorry!" They quickly apologized, since the figure looked a little frightful to the young children. However, they were insistent on apologizing for what seemed like their mistake.

Grocery bags in hand, they took the time to bow deeply. "We're really sorry! We should have been paying more attention..."

The two certainly had much to learn. She smiled and reached out, ruffling their hair with a mother’s gentleness.

"They can, they can.. It depends on the snake. Some can eat birds, some just snack on eggs. These two eat mice and mana stones." Elluka smiled kindly, then continued on when she realized the two probably didn’t know what mana stones were.

"Ah.. For people who have magic, like I do, we can focus that magic into physical forms. It crystallizes into what is called a mana stone. It can also be made with a type of blue herb. Mana stones help to extend magic power and can be used to make magic potions stronger. You can crush it into a powder too. When they eat the stones, they become stronger in terms of magic. Anyone who eats the stones can gain magic ability, but before you two start begging: It tastes way worse than medicine.” After the long explanation, she went back to petting the bluebird.

     As she ruffled their hair, the twins scrunched their eyes closed, much as an annoyed child would do. They would never admit that the motherly touch actually felt really comforting, of course.

"T-They eat birds?" The twins worriedly looked from the snakes to Sabaku. "Hopefully they don't try to eat Sabaku... right?" Looking towards the Sorceress, hoping for signs of reassurance. They did not want to imagine what happened if the snakes happened to get too hungry.

Listening closely to the details of mana stones, the twins tried to understand the information she was giving. Some of it was beyond the children's understanding, of course, and it seemed more like an incorporeal thing than anything. "There's something that tastes even worse than medicine?" Giggling, the two wondered how bad it could really be.

"We can't even try a little teensy weensy bit?" They tried their best to look pitiful, staring with their huge eyes at the seemingly empathetic woman.

{ ﾟヮﾟ }—”Muu-kun doesn’t need little kids. He needs Akatsuki because he can take him home.” The last time Muu was in a situation where he was around a child, he actually had to be physically carried away as if he were one as well because somehow they had managed to make each other upset. If he wasn’t so much like a child himself, perhaps he would like them more.

     The children undeterred asked, "Well, what if we stay with you while you wait for this Akatsuki-san?" Surely, that wouldn't upset him, would it?

"We won't bother you at all," they promised. "But it's lonely waiting by yourself."

{ ﾟヮﾟ }—”Akatsuki.. Muu-kun needs your help.” Muu was not the kind of person that liked children or ever tried to hide it.

     "C-Can we help you at all?" They weren't sure what was going on, but it seemed serious.

She pulled Sabaku onto her arm, petting him lightly. 

"Scales. Instead of skin like we have, or like Sabaku has under all his feathers, the snakes ave scales. They’re trained to be nice, for the most part, but there are also a few details I’d prefer not to go into.." It wouldn’t be good just to say that they were trained to kill in the event it was needed.

Eve yawned, showing a pair of fangs. She nuzzled into Hazumu’s touch, and Adam did the same with Sabaku. 

"Besides those two fangs, they don’t have many teeth. Snakes swallow their food whole. Because it takes so long to digest the food, they don’t have to be fed every day." Elluka was happy to give a few facts, letting Sabaku hop into her lap and nest there.

"Sabaku here is fed every day. I also take time to let him go out and fly around."

     As Elluka explained the wonder that is scales, the twins looked down at the snakes in their laps with awe. It was their first time dealing with any sort of reptiles, except for maybe lizards (and they hadn't even touched them).

"That's amazing! It feels just like a person's skin." Hazumu said excitedly. Both boys had a hand resting on the respective snake's body; they seemed to be lovely pets. If snakes could be trained to be nice, then it didn't seem inconsiderable to own one (or two). As the snakes nuzzled in their laps, the twins couldn't help but smile. Snakes were cuter than they would have expected.

When she told them that snakes can swallow their food whole, both boys went agape -- "No way! Can they really?!" They took care not to be too loud with their volume, just in case it bothered the sleepy snakes. The bluebird was relatively normal in comparison, except for its feathers. Slowly, the twins began to entertain the idea of watching the snakes feed for themselves. And that itself brought upon another question, "What do snakes eat, Elluka-san?"

"I wouldn’t even think of calling at night! Growing boys need their sleep so they can get big and strong to help their big brothers!" He said in an exaggerated tone.

"I bet I will be surprised." The vampire chuckled. "Alright alright. How about I come over in a few minutes? Is that alright with you guys? I know where your home is so it won’t take me long to get there."

     "You're right, you're right!" Nodding, they verbally agreed with his message. "We have to be able to support our older brothers one day," the twins sighed, as if it were some daunting task.

"Okay, okay! We'll wait by the door! See you, Darius-niichan~" And abruptly, the line was disconnected. The twins ran over to the apartment door, and sat waiting for the bell to ring.

"I just happened to see him walking and just a really good guess that he was your dad. We talked about you guys and your brothers for a bit before he gave me the phone number. Said since I care about you two so much, that I could call whenever I wanted to." Darius smiled as he held the phone. When he said good guess, he meant he could smell their scent. Their’s and their dad’s scent were similar too.

"Come over and play? Of course! I’d love to. I also wanna see how tall you two have gotten. I bet you’re taller than me by now!" Darius chuckled jokingly.

     "Oh, okay." The twins couldn't help but smiling when they heard that he cared for the two. "Well, since we're friends and all, you can call us whenever you want, Darius-niichan! Except for maybe at night, because then we wouldn't pick up." The two giggled.

Taking the bait, the twins began gushing excitedly, "Oh yeah! We're definitely taller than Darius-niichan now! We're soo tall~! You're going to be surprised, because we're much bigger now!" They would have kept going, but enough the twins knew when enough was enough. These antics left them grinning widely. "Come to our house, Darius-niichan!!"

"Hn, ah your dad gave me the number. I met him before and he was super nice. So how have you two been?! Have you guys been good?"

     "Our dad did?" They repeated. "That's impressive, Darius-niichan! Even we don't get to talk to our dad that much," and giggles could be heard on their side.

"Of course we've been good!" They said insistently, as if offended he had even entertained the idea. "Why wouldn't we be?" But just as quickly, they switched thoughts. "So are you coming over to play~?"

"It’s the big boys~! Kakeru~! Hazumu~!"

     "Whoa, it's Darius-niichan! How did you get our phone number?!"

       ⊰ ❀ ⊱ ー “Yeah! We have to roll it until it gets bigger!” He’s made a few with his father on Christmas, but now that their family has gotten bigger by one person they decided to spend Christmas inside. But soon, he will ask his new dad to build one with him.

         ”Let’s start now! Oh, my name is Rintarou! What is your name?”

     "Oh, okay!" The twins smiled now, since it seemed like they were finally getting a hold on making a snowman. "You must have made one before... lucky." Unfortunately, the twins had no experience.

Pausing for a second, they said simultaneously, "Our names are Kakeru -- and Hazumu," with the respective boy pointing to himself as his name was said. "Nice to meet you, Rin-kun!"

       ⊰ ❀ ⊱ ー “Daddy took Rintarou to go see that movie frozen and he wants to sing the snow man song while we build one!” He had no clue, but he was sure that they’d figure it out soon.

     "...Okay." The twins had no idea what movie he was referring to, since they had never seen one, but making a snowman couldn't be that hard, could it?

"Well, we definitely need some snow. And then... and then we have to make it round. Somehow." The twins stopped and looked at the other boy, hoping Rin had better ideas.

       ⊰ ❀ ⊱ ー “Duh, because we just had Christmas so the snow is still here. Rintarou wants to build a snow man before it all melts!”

     "Oh, okay." Looking around, there definitely was snow. "We want to build a snowman too!!" Rin's enthusiasm seemed to affect the twins as well.

"But how do you build one...?"
