For your anon who wants to get healthy... slowly change your diet. If you cut it all at once, you're more likely to binge later. I limited my portions of pasta and added asparagus as a side and lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks. Still eating pasta. Just slowly limit the unhealthy stuff and increase your sides of fruits and veggies. Also if a gym isn't available to you, try looking at thrift stores for workout equipment. I just bought a brand new elliptical for $20 from a thrift store.

also, focus less on what you are cutting out of you diet and more on what you are adding to your diet. it's how i went vegetarian after several attempts. instead of making your focus "less meat", "less carbs", "less sugar", or what have you, try to make your goal "more fruits", "more vegetables", etc. it makes it much easier because it's easier to reach a goal of eating something than it is to reach a goal of not eating something (if that makes sense). also if you do it long enough those are the foods your body starts to crave!

Felt so sorry for Brynn this episode. It was completely reasonable of her to not want to do that and kalani especially was really rude about it.

Regarding the song choice on Molly's part, yeah maybe I would've chose smth else but honestly so many catchy songs, with good beat, past or present, have lyrics that are too mature for kids one way or another & like you said we used to listen and dance to them regardless. If we start to dissect every song there'll be nothing left to dance to! But I guess no matter what you're gonna have critics so...
yea from meghan trainer to ariana and little mix, all very popular artist for kids, tweens and teens, all have lyrics that relate to sex in tons of their songs. should they be off the table? i dont think so personally. everyone can have their own opinion tho. But look, parents know what molly’s style is and if they have an issue with that kind of music they wouldnt have taken their kid there end of story.

I am pretty sure when it comes to knowing what to expect from Molly they expect Molly to teach their kids how to dance, choreograph routines for them to perform at competitions and help them grow as a dancer. Yes, they should know that Molly does have some pushing the envelope on appropriate choreography moves and pushing the envelope on appropriate songs. They should not expect their children to dance to a song about BDSM that is so blatantly obvious that its about sex.
And this whole all of them have lyrics that relate to sex, yes but they also have songs that you know.. DON’T. and they have plenty of popular catchy songs that ARENT about sex or aren’t so blatantly obvious/right in your face about what it means. And guess what? If the artist only has songs about sex then you know what you do? DO NOT USE THEM THEN. Problem solved!!!!!

I live in a country where radio stations don’t censor songs. And I STILL manage to find and use kid friendly music because who the hell am I to sexualize kids when that’s what the ret of the world is already trying to hard to do anyway?
Teachers have a responsibility. It doesn’t end at teaching them how to point their feet. Our students fully trust us. A lot of or students idolize us. We need to protect them, not make them even more vulnerable.
Also shitty parenting doesn’t mean Molly gets a pass. Should Grant Davies not have gone to jail because a mom decided fame was worth her daughters bodies and innocence? Potential fame makes parents do some questionable shit. We can’t play into that as teachers.

I worked to make sure even just songs for warm ups at the beginning of class were age appropriate. Somehow I still managed to have a warm up playlist with over 50 songs on it...and that is just for warm up much less a dance where you actually choreograph to the lyrics.
It is not hard to find age appropriate songs that can still make for a fun jazz number. If you can't choreograph a jazz dance without making it sexual, maybe you shouldn't be choreographing.
