“Come on! It’s our last big thing before school starts again!”
“I will burn give me a moment to put sunscreen on,” Kalista stressed, before caving in and rushing after her friend, not wanting to be completely left behind.

A satisfied smirk crossed his features as a glowing orb of green light appeared in the palm of his hand. “I’m glad you asked.” he mused. “My powers are magic-based. I found my father’s old designs and decided to make one of them my own. This gauntlet is mean to focus my magic.” he explained as he released the ball of light, letting it shoot upright in the air to dissolve in the air before it disappeared entirely.
“This was just a first attempt. I can be quite good at following instructions and…make my own adjustments.”
Kalista rolled her eyes at his original explanation, entirely unimpressed with the display. “Yeah, I got the magic part thanks,” she shot back before mulling over the rest of his answer. “I’m wondering how you managed to use non-magical means to focus your magic.”
She stepped in further, looking at the target he’d been shooting at. “I have my own little project, but my magic keeps overloading anything I use in an attempt to keep it stable.”
“It’s music, that happens,” Katri replied somewhat annoyed. What kind of person works in quite at the studio space. “If you want peace and quiet then go to the library.” She sauntered back to her phone and plugged it back in, resuming her music.
Kalista reached over and unplugged it again. “Library’s full and noisier than you think,” she said, crossing her arms. “Besides, if I could hear your music two studio spaces over then I think that qualifies as too loud.”

“I agree with you, though this meeting is far more pleasant than my last problematic one, given that this time there isn’t a significant amount of wine down the front of my dress.” Astrid smiled at the girl, following her directions.
That was an interesting picture, if nothing else. “I’d hate to be one who’d have spilt it,” Kalista commented. “Personally, I seem to have a penchant for getting on people’s nerves.” She shrugged nonchalantly, figuring that she may as well warn this girl now than have to apologize later. “You a new student or something?” the mage asked, walking down the path.
With summer reaching the halfway point of being over, Werner almost lamented over the fact that he had not gotten much done. Thanks to the larger labs still being out of commission, the Doom son was vastly limited when it came to his project. So, instead of assembling the full prototype, he consistently worked on blueprints and managed to build pieces with what he could get his hands on.Â
Being an opportunist, each piece of broken tech he saw being taken out of the ruined science building for scrap, he took and salvaged for his own gain. His own dorm began to look like an engineer’s lab on its own. For good reason, Stark seemed to be too suspicious and began having eyes on him in the student labs. For a good while, he had been tinkering with a gauntlet design, meant to amplify and focus his magic. Pleased with the finished prototype, he took it with him to the practice range to give it a few test shots.Â
One right after the other, he blew away targets. With a proud sneer, he fiddled with a few loose bits on the gauntlet.Â
“Not bad.”Â
She really hadn’t meant to teleport to the practice range. Really, the only reason why she was there was because she’d attempted the teleportation spell to get to her room and something had pulled her away to well, here. As Kalista wandered the building, trying to figure out how the hell she was going to get out without getting caught, the sounds of small explosions caught her attention.
So she’d peered around the corner, catching sight of the results of his work, eyes widening when she recognized the telltale feeling of magic. “Not bad at all,” she said out loud, the compliment spilling from her mouth before she could think of the cons of interrupting. Too late to turn back now, may as well plunge on forward. “How’s it work?”
It had been a good while since she had put in some good studio, in way she was kind of homesick for her happy place. She didn’t need people to see her when she danced, she simply danced. She had her phone on the studio speakers aux. “Okay, let’s do some fouette turns,” she said to herself underneath the loud music and began working on her turns. It was going pretty well until she heard someone unplug her phone abruptly, “Hey, uhm what was that for?”
Kalista had come to the studios to study, the library getting too familiar and the gardens getting too hot during the summer. While, yes, school was out for the summer, her own studies with magic never really stopped. So when the ambient sounds of empty rooms shifted into some grating punk music, she’d been annoyed enough that her impulses had brought her to a ballerina of all people, and before she could stop herself, the phone was unplugged and she was staring down (up?) at an annoyed dancer. “It was loud,” Kalista stated, crossing her arms and shifting her weight onto one foot.

“The dormitories, please.” Astrid replied calmly, making an apologetic expression. “I’m sorry, I think we got off on the wrong foot, I’m Astrid.”
Narrowing her eyes at the apology, the young mage frowned before leaning back and nodding, pushing herself up to her feet. “Kalista,” she replied. “It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve had a sour meeting. Dorms are this way.” She gestured to the right. “May as well lead you there, don’t want you getting lost along the way.”

“The Bifrost-” Immediately after speaking Astrid realised that the girl was being sarcastic and stopped talking, glancing at her with an awkward smile. “Sorry, could you tell me where to go?”
What an odd question. Kalista tilted her head and took another glance at the girl, taking in the awkward expression. “Depends where you need to go,” she replied. “Because let me tell you, if you ask me where I want you to go, that may be end up being a different answer than what you need.”
“I’m definitely not in Asgard anymore…”
Kalista frowned as she looked at the girl in front of her. “Gee, what gave you that clue?” she asked, the words slipping out before she could filter them.

Iris shook her head to withhold her laughter. “Temper temper,” she mentioned, tone heightened slightly in a teasing nature, “you won’t get far with all that negative energy.” Half-joking, half not. It was when she saw her sister look back that she offered a gentle smile. “I wanted to see if you have eaten, and if not, do you want to go grab something? You need to take breaks.”
“Rest is for the weak,” was her automatic response, but even as the words came out she knew that her elder sister was right. Kalista sighed and closed her book, leaning back in her chair and grinning. “Yeah, I could do with a sandwich or something,” she said. “And coffee, but that’s secondary.”

Iris entered the room where her younger sibling was sat. It felt as if she had spent half a day looking for her, when in reality, it had only been ten minutes. “There you are,” she almost exclaimed, “I thought I might have to send out a search party.” She peered over to the piece of paper, once she was close enough. Her initial response was a gentle hum, followed by a small shrug. “More than whatever you are having now.” She responded, tone almost nonchalant.
Kalista let out an amused scoff at the answer. “No way, it’s not like I haven’t figured that out,” she shot back, though the only venom in her tone was a result of a lack of sleep. She shook her head to clear off the mental fog and looked back up to her elder sister. “Sorry. Why were you looking for me?”

“Thanks,” JJ replied, one shoulder coming up in a half shrug.  “I was hoping they could get back, but…”  She sighed.  “What happens when your parents are crazy busy.” Â
Kalista grimaced and turned to better face JJ, closing her book as she did so. “Burdens of having world-ending responsibilities,” she quipped, then tilted her head. “We should make up for it somehow. Do something fun or whatever.”

Midgard was all new to Magni. He was so accustomed to the coldness of jotunheim that the warmth was actually a little overwhelming for the Half frost giant.Â
Fanning himself using the papers he received from the vice director of the school The boy was becoming more lost by the moment in the heat of the Summer day. The boy had ended up travelling the complete opposite direction to where he was needed to go and just continued to wander until he found someone else. Hopefully someone with more knowledge than him. Walking up to the stranger the demi god cleared his throat. “Excuse me you can’t help me can you? I have lost my way to the place called the Dormitories”
Kalista startled, her head shooting up from her book, taking in the unfamiliar face and wondering just how the hell she could have been so out of it that she hadn’t noticed someone approaching.
She tried to placate herself with the knowledge that not many people came this way anyways, and it made sense that she hadn’t been expecting anyone to pass by. But still. She should have been more aware.
“New here?” she questioned, folding her book and tucking it away. “The dorms are in the completely opposite direction. How’d you get here?”
