“That sounds good.” he beamed, throwing a glance over his shoulder to the rest of the place, making sure he wasn’t needed just yet. “Sleeping in is nice. I won’t get to do it much longer since school starts soon.” Her smiled at her laugh, glad that she was enjoying herself. “Well that’s the plan, but we’ll see how it goes. What do you do anyway that let’s you travel so much? Maybe I’m getting into the wrong job.”
“I’ll give you my number before I go and you can call me or text me or something and we can get together and hang out. If you want to anyway.” She shrugged her shoulders and smiled. Sitting back again, she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and laughed a bit. “I do all kinds of stuff. I usually do some odd jobs here and there depending on where I am. A lot of the time I find werewolf owned places and they usually help me out. I just save up all the money I get while working wherever I am and then move onto the next place. Sometimes I go back and they’re willing to give me some work time again.”
Blood Moon | Seth & Kali
seth-verona:
kalixbarnes:
Kali graciously took a slice of the peach after he offered it to her, popping it into her mouth and silently enjoying the sweet taste. She listened to him quietly, relief hitting her once again when he said he wasn’t mad at her. The relief was too soon, though. His following words hurt her more than she would like to admit. Slowly she nodded her head and looked away again. She wanted to speak, but she couldn’t find the words. She couldn’t think of anything to say because deep down, she knew he was right. Tyler wouldn’t forgive her, even if she went crawling back to him. That wasn’t what she wanted to do anyway. Not since she planned on leaving again.
He continued talking and she desperately wished the subject would change. She hated talking about Tyler because of the amount of guilt she harbored, even after all the years of her travels. She still loved him, she had kept to her word about that. There was never anyone else, but she highly doubted he had waited for her. He was a ladies man and that would never change. She closed her eyes and pushed herself up from the couch, walking into the small kitchen and leaning her back against the counter.
“It’s been a long night. I’m pretty tired. You wanna shower and then we can go to sleep? I’ll take the couch.”
He didn’t want to move if he was honest. A chilled feeling had washed over him talking about Tyler, and he found a distant gaze upon a point in the room the most interesting thing in the room. Grief flooded his chest, so easy to regret and other powerful negative emotions that his old pack had be determined to squash out of him. Seth was more sensitive then he realized. And now all he could manage was to stay where he was. Wrap his arm around his middle and sigh.
“Take the bed,” he said quietly, “I’ll make you breakfast in the morning.” He let eye contact find hers, attempting to show the remorse he was feeling for both of them. “I won’t leave you–” he said more for himself, wanting to not run. Leave her here so he could work out all that messed him up. Made him this outcast.

Owen knew he was a little weird for getting so into museums but he couldn’t help it. The idea of learning new things and traveling was always exciting for him. “That sounds great. I mostly have the mornings off and afternoons.” he nodded, enjoying the idea of browsing and talking through things like that. “Oh yea the Louvre.” his sigh was almost dreamy at the mention but he reigned it in. “And the Hermitage in St. Petersburg. I want to see those two at the least.”
He grinned as she mentioned London and nodded enthusiastically with her. “Theres so much history there! Everywhere really, I want to see it all.” He leaned his elbows on the table, wondering if he was being too talkative or annoying. “You seem pretty sweet yourself, no wonder everyone was nice to you.”
“Good to know. I tend to sleep in so I’ll probably aim for an afternoon once I find my scrapbook with the museum stuff.” Kali giggled at his reaction to when she brought up the biggest museum in the world. It was almost endearing how enthusiastic he was about museums. “The Hermitage is really nice too. It was one of the last places I went in Russia before I came back here.” A small smirk crossed her features as he leaned forward and put his elbows on the table and she nodded her head in agreement. “There really is. You should definitely go sometime.” She gave a small smile and shrugged her shoulders slightly. “Thanks. You’re pretty sweet yourself.”
ravenwayne:
“Ah, that I can understand. Packs seem to take it so personally when one of their own leaves, even with promises to return.” A small pout settled on her lips, “It’s idiotic, really. And incredibly controlling. Forgive me, but I do truly hate such attitudes.” Raven expected the question, but took a moment to answer. “I spent most of my childhood in Los Angeles. My father’s pack practically ruled the streets there once upon a time. But that was a long time ago, and before moving here I lived in New York City. Though I do travel a lot as well. Mostly for work. My business keeps me in a plane almost constantly. I came here to get a bit of a break from that.”
“Especially when your pack is all about pride. I agree though. You should want the best for your pack mates right? Even if that means one of them leaves for a while to pursue their dream of traveling the world.” With another shrug of her shoulders, she sighed softly to herself. Listening to Raven, she smiled and nodded her head when she was done. “You sound like my mom. She used to travel for work a lot of the time and I always went with her. That’s how I got into traveling. I’ve been to both Los Angeles and New York. I definitely had to make a stop to Disneyland when I went to L.A. and it was so much fun. Did you ever go when you were a kid?” The waitress walked over and set their drinks down and told them their food would be out momentarily before walking off again. Kali pulled her drink over to her and put the straw in her mouth, letting out an ‘mmmm’ sound when she took a sip of her milkshake.
Social Butterfly || Open
“You’ve got to get back out there. You’re not leaving for a long time so might as well get used to it and enjoy yourself, young lady.” Those were the last words her father said before he himself went out to the block party. Kali groaned and rolled her eyes. In the back of her head though, she knew he was right. She hated when he was right. She wasn’t going anywhere and she didn’t want to just be stuck in her room by herself the whole time. Might as well get out there and have some fun.
Kali took a quick shower, did her hair and her make-up and got dressed in a jean mini skirt and a form fitting black tank top. She looked herself up and down in the mirror, satisfied with how she looked. If she was going to go back to her social butterfly ways, she was going to look good doing it. She made her way downstairs and out of her house and towards Main street. She arrived at the starting end of the street, took a deep breath and walked ahead, looking around at the various things to do and hoping she would run into someone she knew.
Let Me Out || Kali&Armand
alphamantilla:
Everyone had their own way of coping with deaths, but Kali’s wanting to distract herself by traveling wouldn’t help as much as she thought it would. Regardless of how she put it or what she thought, the bottom line was that she was running from her problems instead of facing them. “You think traveling will help you forget?” Armand scoffed. “You’re childish. Your mother’s death will follow you wherever you go, Kali. That’s not something you can distract yourself from, she raised you as if she brought you into the world, her life and death will always be apart of you.”
Her agitation was starting to rouse him and not in the good fashion. Kali may have been a rogue, but he was still an Alpha and more dominant than she; her tone danced along the lines of blatant disrespect. “I’m not saying you cannot mourn, but you’re trying to leave to escape your pain when you should face it. Nor did I say that you should be out trying the catch the bastard on your own. I have parties out hunting around the clock, you are free to join them.”
He exhaled through his nose, growing a little frustrated with her attitude. “Despite your belief, I am not your enemy, Kali. Like a child, you are only mad at me for keeping you from doing what you want, but don’t assume that Ultio’s door ever closed for you. You should be fighting at our side, you belong here.”
Kali had been dealing with her mother death basically on her own. Her father didn’t like discussing it with her or anyone. They were mates, bound together by their wolf. It was far more devastating to lose a mate than just a wife or a lover who wasn’t chosen by your wolf. Mates were much like soul mates, but more intense. Her mothers death had nearly torn her father apart, but he kept himself together for his daughter and his pack, even when he didn’t need to. Other than her father and Seth, Kali didn’t really talk to anyone else. She didn’t talk much about her mother to Seth either, so all her emotions were held inside, bottled up because of what she had done in Russia already, when she initially found out about her mothers death.
When he gave her the cold reminder of her mother not having been her blood mother, it made her heart ache in her chest. She didn’t think much of her true parents. She was so young when she lost them, she barely remembered them and hardly ever thought of her parents now as adoptive parents. Not once had she ever thought herself as anything but their blood daughter. “She may as well have brought me into this world. I was hers.” Her voice cracked with hurt and she dropped her eyes to stare at her closed laptop.
There it was. The subtle offer to rejoin the pack again. Former pack mates had mentioned it to her and at least once before during a visit home from Armand. Each time, it killed her to reject it because in all honesty, she missed her pack. However, things were much too complicated for her to ever rejoin, especially now. She felt betrayed by Armand when he and the other alphas decided to keep her in Winlock against her will and there was still the situation between her and Tyler. Although, there were aspects that would weigh heavily in the favor of her staying. Revenge being the main one. She also didn’t want to leave her father all alone and after finding Seth again, she wanted to become close with him again. There were too many pros and cons that had equally heavy weighing options and it made her head spin. “I can’t...” Her voice was barely above a whisper as she spoke, slightly shaking her head while she kept her gaze on her laptop.

Owen gave her a smile he hoped came across as understanding. “School isn’t for everyone, that’s what mom says. But then again she has a PhD.” he laughed. He leaned closer when she mentioned her own mom. He always knew he had a great relationship with his parents, and it seemed to be uncommon. He was glad she had that kind of relation with her mom too. He wondered what she meant by ‘other people’ but it wasn’t his business. “That’s cool. We took road trips but nothing over seas.”
“That would be awesome!” he beamed and nodded, face bright at the thought. He loved that sort of thing and he didn’t really care if people judged him for his enthusiasm. “Yea I want to travel. I don’t know where. Maybe do the whole ‘backpacking across Europe’ thing.” he laughed at the cliche feel of the words. “Where’s your favorite place? Maybe that will give me an idea where to start.”
Kali was happy to see his excitement. “I’ll have to bring them by sometime. Maybe when you’re not working and won’t get in trouble, we can sit down and look at my photo album and I can show you the museums I’ve been to. If I have double of the brochures or something like that, you can keep the spare ones. I think you’ll enjoy them. Personally, I think you should go to the Musee du Louvre in France first. It’s the biggest museum in the world.” She had a slight french accent when she said the name of the museum and it helped the words roll off her tongue effortlessly.
Nodding her head eagerly in agreement, she smiled with excitement. “Backpacking across Europe is fun. Definitely a must do. It’s my favorite place, actually. If I had t be more specific and pick a place in Europe, it would definitely be London. I absolutely love it there. It’s just...” She sighed softly and smiled, shaking her head. “I could go on forever, but I won’t. Just know that it’s a beautiful place with nice people. Of course, not everyone is nice, but the majority of people I’ve met were all very sweet.”
ravenwayne:
“Blueberry milkshakes? That’s impressive, I might just have to try one of those.” Returning the smile, Raven answered, “I came alone. I’m afraid I do not really have any friends or family to speak of. Not anymore.” Though her words were a bit morbid, Raven’s smile didn’t waver. She’d long since come to terms with the deaths of her pack. And there was no need to let past pains ruin her day. As the waitress came to take their order, Raven listed off all the things she wanted. When she and Kali had both ordered, Raven watched the display before her with an arched brow. Ah, the joy of small towns. Everyone knew everyone. “Don’t worry about it, I don’t mind. It’s nice to see that the people here are so friendly. I don’t see that much back home.”
“The raspberry and banana flavors are good too. I think they even have a caramel one, but I think that was just a rumor I heard. Or wishful thinking.” She laughed lightly and smiled at her. She was enjoying herself a bit and it helped that she was making a new friend. “Sorry to hear that. We’re almost in the same boat. I just have my father now. I guess I kind of have my old pack, but since I left, not all of them are as welcoming.” She shrugged her shoulders slightly. “For the most part, yeah. People are normally pretty friendly. Where do you come from anyway? If you don’t mind me asking. Maybe I’ve been there. I travel a lot.”
Blood Moon | Seth & Kali
seth-verona:
Seth had slid back into the couch, two peaches, and various cheeses littering a plate. He starting cutting the fruit while he listened offering a slice to Kali while she talked about everything. Ultio didn’t understand anyone leaving as a whole. Their pride was thick, all consuming in ways that Seth had drowned often in it when he was little. When they thought him not outgoing as he should, too quiet and often alone, not ever Ultio enough in their eyes when he was on a different level. He had always took comfort knowing Armand had believed in him but then his Alpha had wanted him to change in front of everyone. It was a test. Seth proving to everyone what he was. How he failed on so many fronts. He had just been so terrified–
Seth had stilled. Fingers tightening around the small paring knife coated in sweet juices before setting it down. “No–” he said in answer to being mad, swallowing thickly the lump forming in his throat. He hadn’t talked about Tyler to anyone, and he found these short words incredibly difficult. “He won’t forgive you– ever for leaving him…” He mumbled out, setting the knife down. A nervous twitch to his leg shook him gently. Seth scratching at the old scars wrapped around his wrists, as if he still wore those chains long after their removal.
“Just like me. It’s my fault he’s like this, it was hard on him with his parents. Then I leave– became something lost, angry,” he shrugged, a tremor still rattling his body, eyes downcast as he picked at his skin. “Sometimes I am sorry isn’t enough, our mistakes or choices are so wrong to them all they have left is to protect themselves. He’s still hurting. From us, his parents, maybe others. He hides it so well, but I know him. I won’t bother him again, you shouldn’t either.” He added at the end, though he had said he wasn’t mad those three words held a different tone. Maybe in threat. Maybe because Tyler always came first above all else, and Seth still wanted to protect him in anyway he could.
Tyler & Kali || The Best Part Of Me|| FB: 4 Years
tyler-fairview:
“Better versions of ourselves? Better versions of ourselves?? This is the best version of me there is, Kal. I turned down college to stay here, because I’m loyal to the pack. And you? What are you anyway? You think you can just leave and expect to find happiness somewhere else? Fuck that. Your happiness should be here, with the pack, with me. Don’t do me any favors, don’t turn this around and say you’re doing this for me because that’s bullshit. You’re doing it for you,”
Maybe he didn’t fight fair, but it was all he had sometimes. And Tyler couldn’t understand for the life of him why this was happening. He knew that Kali wanted to travel, and a part of him always feared that this day would come. She was always supposed to come back to him, to Armand, to Winlock in general. She wasn’t supposed to stay gone. It wasn’t supposed to happen like this.
“You could fuck a thousand guys and I wouldn’t care. Because in the end, you left me, and you have to live with that. So yeah, I’m gonna move on. Maybe I’ll find someone who actually wants to have a life together, someone who won’t leave me just like my parents did, or Seth. It’s gotta be better than taking all this bullshit from you right now. Fuck, Kali. Go find your happiness. Sorry that it couldn’t be me. Sorry that this wasn’t enough for you, because it sure as fuck was enough for me. Guess that makes me the biggest idiot in the room for thinking that you actually wanted to spend the rest of your life with me,”
Unable to take much more, he turned to leave. His stomach churned with fistfuls of anger and loss, and it made him sick. When he reached the door he paused, eyes closing and a deep sigh escaping his lips. He turned back to her, his voice coming out as borderline desperate and painful. “Last chance. Is this really what you want?”
The more he yelled at her, the more she wanted to defend herself. The more she wanted to try and reason with him, but she couldn’t. Her voice was caught in her throat and she couldn’t speak. All she could do was stand there and take his anger. She knew deep down that no matter what she said or did that had to do with her leaving, he wouldn’t listen. He wouldn’t understand. All that would make him happy and end this fight between them and make things better would be if she decided to stay and never leave. However, she knew if she did that, she would resent him for the rest of her life for not leaving and pursuing her dreams.
When he started talking about moving on and finding someone else, she started to become territorial and she wanted to lash out at him and yell at him, but she couldn’t. She had no right. Anger, self hatred, sadness, guilt all flooded the teenagers emotions. She was being torn down by someone she trusted. The person she trusted the most, in fact. She told him everything about her. She told him her secrets, her fears, her dreams. He meant so much to her and she had meant it that she would wait for him and that she wouldn’t be with anyone else. She knew he was angry at her though and she knew that once the news hit that Tyler was single, girls would throw themselves at him. She had very little hope that he would wait for her and she couldn’t blame him.
He spoke about him not being enough for her and that she didn’t want to spend her life with him, but he was wrong. All of it was wrong, but again, nothing she said would change his mind or calm him unless it meant her staying. His words were tearing her apart inside and her wolf was clawing under her skin to be let out and attack what was causing her this pain, but she wouldn’t let it. She watched as he stormed away from her and when he stopped at the door, her heart clenched. Her words were still caught in her throat and she didn’t want to say anything. She wanted to keep him there with her. She loved him, but it had to be done. In the softest voice she could muster up, she spoke the one word that would end it all and it broke her. “Yes.”
After that, everything was numb. He had slammed the door after he left and she was left standing there by herself in her empty home. Never in her life had she ever felt more alone than she did at that moment. It took about five minutes for reality to hit her like a semi-truck. Tyler was gone. They were over. He hated her and she would probably never hear from him again. Kali mindlessly went up to her room and as soon as she opened the door and her eyes looked at the walls covered in photos and memories of them and the three years they spent together, she could feel all the heartbreak at once and it brought her to her knees where she stayed and cried for the duration of the night.
Blood Moon | Seth & Kali
seth-verona:
It all sounded too good to be true, and incredibly exciting mixed into a torrent of emotions he hadn’t felt in a while. He wished terribly that his Lenio pack felt like this. Some of them did, but as a whole he felt an empty tether. A jealousy that he didn’t connect with them like he had way before he was even a changed wolf. Seth wished someone knew why it happened. Armand told him it was his lacked control, but he couldn’t believe that entirely. Now he had great control, could shift to the very brink and back, he didn’t lose his head often. Only in a fight did he run such a risk.
“Yeah–” was all he could say, tearing out the sketch of her mom and handing her the drawing. “One of my pack mates if setting me up for school, it starts soon. Car things, hands on he awore, not like I can read the books well anyway.” He palmed the back of his neck, setting the heavy book on the table to pour some water, and grab some meat from the fridge. He had nothing else, meat and vegetables and fruits. Sometimes he had different nuts if Stan bought them, but he had no human food if Kali had remembered the spare list of only the essentials from his last trip. He couldn’t stomach it, and didn’t have guests enough to have any.
“I don’t know, the Lenios are kind people. Someone sponsored me or something, won’t say who so I won’t get mad about it,” he shrugged, glancing down at the wounds finally starting to pucker close. He felt it internally the most drawing out a sigh in relief. “I just have the most intense urge to run. My pride is gone. Sense of family all mixed up. I don’t know how to get it back– so what’s left but to run from it all? You make it seem fun, but that’s all it seems to me. It’s selfish to not want to be alone in it– I feel both relief and sadness in thinking about it. How did you before? Leave?”
Taking the picture of her mother from him after he tore it out, she set it to the side to take with her tomorrow morning when he left. When she returned her attention to him, she listened to him explain how he was going to start school soon and she nodded her head. “That should be fun. If you ever need help reading an assignment or something, just let me know. I want to help you anyway I can. You’re kind of the only friend I have right now. At least, here in Winlock anyway.”
While she listened to him talk, she looked back down at his chest, a wave of relief washing over her as his wounds slowly started to heal up. She lifted her gaze back up to his face again and she sighed softly. “I know what you mean. I know it must be hard for you and we can leave together whenever you want. I still have an apartment in Russia at the moment and that’s where all my stuff is.” She frowned and leaned back a bit, looking over at her mothers picture. “It wasn’t an easy decision to make, when I left. My parents understood more than anyone because my mom used to take me traveling with her all the time. Armand was understanding. Most of the pack didn’t seem to get why I would leave, but Tyler took it the hardest out of everyone...”
Kali took a deep breath and looked back over at Seth. “I feel like I should tell you something. It’s not like it matters anymore. Not really anyway, but I feel like you should know. I just didn’t want to tell you before because I was afraid you would hate me for hurting him or something...Tyler and I used to be a thing. We used to be a couple for three years until I ended things right before I left. To this day it was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I had to do it though. He wouldn’t have left the pack with me and I couldn’t make him just wait around for me...” She chewed her bottom lip nervously. “You aren’t mad at me are you?”

It hadn’t even occurred to Owen that she would be a wolf, let alone a rogue and his jaw hung open a tad. Her words about college made his smile falter and he looked down to the table. “Yea I guess.” he drew a circle against the back of his own hand and then shrugged. “I don’t think I could leave my parents though.” he thought about doing anything without consulting them first was tough.
“Woa. Russia? That’s awesome.” his smile blossomed back into view and he leaned his elbows forward onto the table. “I want to go to all the museums. I’m a huge nerd.” he laughed at his own description. “I hear the food is amazing. What made you want to travel all these places?” He couldn’t contain his questions and the rest of the club dropped back for a minute.
Kali felt a little bad for seemingly belittling his choice to go to college. “Look, it’s not like going to college is a bad thing. It’s good for you to go to college. I would just rather go out and see the world than to go back to school.” She listened to him and nodded her head in agreement. “Leaving my parents was a hard decision for me, but my mom understood. We used to go traveling together all the time because she traveled for her job. It was harder to leave certain other people than my parents though because they didn’t really understand my decision like they did.”
She was relieved to see his smile again after talking about Russia. When he confessed wanting to see the different museums, she had to admit, she had never heard that one before, but it was an admirable desire. “I have a few souvenir brochures from different museums I’ve visited if you want to see them sometime. Maybe you can pick out your favorite one and travel there first if you ever decide to.” Kali pulled her black leather jacket off of her and set it to the side. She had been planning to leave, but talking to him was a nice change. “It depends on where you go for the food. There are some places that have really good food and other places that are just like ‘why would someone ever eat that?’. Like I said before though, I’ve been traveling with my mom since I was a kid. I just decided to go out on my own when I turned 18.”
Blood Moon | Seth & Kali
seth-verona:
“You can stay it’s fine,”
Seth was sure he would eventually have to run or stop what he did. He knew deep down that what he did with the humans wasn’t right, at least that part of his personality dictated it was something evil. He thought he could think now on the future but it was difficult. The idea of being alone was equally calming and horrifically depressing. Seth meant it when he said he hadn’t felt a Lenio connection yet. It was there, subtly. In acceptance, in curiosity, in friendship with only certain wolves. But Kali and Seth could just pick up where they left off. Only family could do that. True family. Was it worth it though to gain back those members he thought were just that, and then to equally suffer from the ones who tormented him? Made him feel so worthless.
All the words stunned him to silence. His ears twitched to her excitement, a pleasant awareness that this made her happy. It was easy to feel. And he felt his own body react in kind with a small smile. He opened his eyes, “up root…” he chuckled at that, gaze looking around the mixed matched space filled with hand-me-downs, and objects people gave him to make the space. Seth owned nothing to his name. What uprooting would that even be? The only thing that felt off was about Eve. Maybe she’d want to go too. Travel a bit, get out of the woods like him.
“I have no idea,” he said tired, offering a shrug. “I have only the walls to remember. Anything would be exciting I suppose.” It was all he could say on the topic, knowing he brought it up and much rather listen to her ramble on than have him speak on things. He pushed up from the couch, gritting his teeth a second while he moved towards the large bed he had. Pulling out a sketch book from under his pillow he held it out for her. Inside was a pang of nostalgia to Seth in similarity to Kali and her travels. It was profiles of all the members of their old pack. Catching their silly faces, mostly kids. Even a younger Armand speaking at a dinner in front of a table was in there. It was all he had. Every little memory that he got back he sketched it.
“I don’t know how I remember how to do this, I use to draw a lot when I was little. I remember thinking about it in the cage, these…moments of awareness. Always alone when they surfaced, and I’d scratch a claw into the stone…” he shrugged, “I need new memories. All I have is stone walls, so much darkness. And those. A family who claims to not want me, when all I want is to come home. Maybe seeing other places would help me? I don’t know… we belong here. We will come back, but leaving doesn’t sound too bad if I am not alone.”
When she was given the okay to stay the night with him, she let out a soft sigh of relief. She was glad she wouldn’t have to spend the night out in her car, but she would have to deal with her father in the morning after he told her not to leave the house. Of course, she didn’t need to tell him about her near death experience that night. All he had to know was that she stayed the night at a friends house. She figured that would appease him since she had been mainly keeping to herself since returning, despite him trying to get her to go out and rekindle old friendships.
“Hmmm...I think I can see you having some fun in London! London is one of my favorite places to go. It’s beautiful and there isn’t a strange language you would have to learn. They have different slang than us, but it’s mostly the same. There’s a few clubs that are run and owned by other werewolves and they always tell me to come back whenever I leave. There’s so much to do there in London. Sometime soon I’ll have to stay the night again or you can stay the night with me and I can show you my photo album filled with pictures from my adventures. You draw beautiful things. I’ve really taken to photography, so I take pictures of beautiful things.”
Watching him get up and walk away, she frowned at the pain she could see on his face. When he returned to her, she took the sketchbook and started to look through it, smiling as she looked at their ‘family’. Everyone from Ultio was in it. Armand, her father, Maura, Maura’s mother. When she came upon a picture of her own mother, she froze and stared down at the picture. “You drew her so perfectly. She looks so young...” She fought back the tears and turned the page, smiling when she saw a drawn picture of herself when she was younger. “Jeez, did I really have chubby cheeks that big?” She let out a soft giggle and turned to look at him, a small smile on her lips. “You’re very talented Seth.”
Kali closed the sketchbook and set it to the side before turning to face him again. “Let’s save up then. We can save up our money from working on the farm, I’ll buy you a new sketchbook and then we’ll leave. We can go and travel the world and you can make and draw new exciting memories. It’ll be fun and then when we’re done, we’ll come back here. How does that sound?” The idea sounded perfect to her. She wanted out of Winlock so badly and she would do whatever it took to get out of there. Seth going with her just made her want to leave that much more, not only for herself, but for him. He needed to go somewhere where people didn’t know his past and where they wouldn’t judge him or torment him like their ‘family’ did.
