I tend to throttle them too much or just worry they're OP or Mary-Sues #Maiko is *meant* to be super edgy so I have more leeway with her lmfao but still #I wanted to give her smth adjacent to curse manipulation for a while but I don't want to carbon-copy Suguru's technique #since Maiko's would be hereditary most likely #so I wanted to connect that to forging cursed tools in some way (because that's always been a Feature(tm) of her family)#(and part of what made them so prominent back in their heyday)#so rn i've landed on basically being able to pull or otherwise form curses from the cursed energy IN cursed tools/weapons temporarily #purging the curse = destroying the tool it came from though... but it heightens the strength since it mixes with Maiko's cursed energy #so... not *quite* glass cannon but still somewhat delicate #anyway I shouldn't ramble too much but I have had sooooooooo many thoughts and ideas on this lmfao #that said im told later in the series they go more into detail on how cursed tools are made and I haven't gotten there yet so...#im making shit up atm basically and it's all tentative :')

got thinking about kumadori/kabuki theater make-up again the other day... I love the colour-coding thing, but I am weak for blue nonetheless 😅

when they make a bad call and u got money on this one 😦 sorry for the absence, went thru another "i dont like my art enough to post" stage and then hurt my back a couple weeks ago so sitting and drawing was not viable 😅
