Hello KRDN staff and donors, I appreciate your patience I know we didn't do a newsletter last month it's been a bit crazy. It may be a bit before I'm on a consistent schedule as I work out when the best time for updates are and work around my work load in other departments. To make up for it though I'm going to try to put out an extra issue this month.
Employee Spotlight: George Karizaki
Gender and Pronouns: Nonbinary, any pronouns
Karizaki-san is intersex and nonbinary and doesn't care to worry about gender roles or pronouns. He says worrying about that is too limiting and they want to dress how he wants and do what she wants.
Position(s): Kamen Rider Juuga, Rider Researcher, Equipment Development and Maintenance
As the creator of his team's Drivers and gear Karizaki-san spends a lot of time in the labs working on further developing and maintaining equipment for all of the KRDN. That said when he does make an appearance in the field don't underestimate him as Kamen Rider Juuga.
Sexuality and/or Romantic Interests: Omnisexual and Aromantic
Karizaki-san isn't looking for a relationship at the moment but wouldn't necessarily be against it if the right person asked.
So Karizaki-san, you approached me for this correct?
Yes I thought it might be fun and if not at least I got it out of the way.
Well I definitely appreciate it when people volunteer, it makes the job easier so thanks for that. Are you working on any cooperative projects with other members of R&D? I noticed you've been in the field less often even by your standards.
For a little while I was helping Kuroto take care of Nyelv's projects when he was in the hospital. Lately Philip and I have been spending time in the lab with the Alchemists learning everything we can about them.
Are there any members of R&D you work with more frequently or prefer to work with?
I like anyone who can match me in intelligence, curiosity, energy, and commitment to their work. So I tend to prefer working with Philip, Yuki, Houtaro, Akari, Nyelv, and Kuroto.
Now those last two are very controversial, you might get some push back from people for that. It doesn't bother you?
I really don’t care what people think of me or them, they're my friends it's simple as that. If people wanna come at me for that let them, maybe those two can catch a break.
Well said, Riders always stick by their friends right? Now then let's focus back on you, you were originally just a scientist a Fenix assisting Revi, Vice, Live, Evil, and later Jeanne correct? What made you decide to become Juuga?
Becoming Juuga was always my goal, I've always loved Kamen Riders and my dream was to become one and now I am.
If you love Riders that much working here must be a dream come true.
It certainly is, I never imagined I'd get to meet so many Riders, let alone befriend them. I tried to join the recruitment team but they said my enthusiasm might scare people off. I don't know I can't be worse than Kaguya can I?
Well since I'm the one who's supposed to be asking questions I'm going to pass on that one. What inspired you to become a scientist?
My father, we had a… rough we'll say, relationship at the end. Hiromi was right I should have said goodbye when I had the chance.
Sorry didn't mean to hit a sore spot why don't we move back to Kamen Riders. If you could meet any Rider who would it be?
Takashi Hongo, the original Kamen Rider, I'd love to meet him.
Maybe one day you will, you never know. In your submission for Pride month you said you were single for now. Care to elaborate on that?
All I'll say is I have a crush and they're definitely gonna be my partner, they just don't know it yet.
That sounds a bit ominous.
I just mean I've been told by someone I trust that they also have a crush on me. Once I make my move I'm confident they'll agree to go on a date with me. If not I'll leave them alone don't worry.
Ok fair enough, it looks like it's about time to wrap this up. Do you have anything you'd like to share?
If you ever need your gear looked at don't hesitate to pay me a visit, I'm always eager to look over a Rider's driver and gear.
I'm sure they'll bring you anything they need you to fix. Thank you for your time Karizaki-san, good luck with your research.
Thank you good luck on your next newsletter
I've been asked to remind all of you to stop hesitating to call for back up. The amount of people ending up in the hospital because of it has become ridiculous. Akiko-san says people are going to start getting written up for not calling for backup if they end up in the hospital trying to go it alone. Exceptions will be made in cases of downed comms or an otherwise inability to call for help.
The team leaders are discussing making Team Rogue their own team. Tsukasa has requested anyone who has input or an issue with that go to him, Akiko-san, or your team leader to discuss it. If you think Team Rogue should be a team let them know. I'm going to slip my own opinion in for just a second. As someone who knows all sorts of secrets about all of you, they have a bad history but so do some of you. They've worked hard and I think deserve to be treated as equals. I'll step off the soap box now just give any input you have regarding Team Rogue to them.
I've heard that Daiki and Tsukasa have a private bet going on whether Daiki can go a week without stealing anything. If he succeeds Tsukasa has to go on a date with him. If he fails he has to do Tsukasa's overnight for a month. Karizaki says anyone who wants in on the action should go see him. He also said if it even looks like you're going to act like you did last time he'll give everyone their money back and cancel the whole thing. So good luck to Daiki and anyone who joins in on the fun.
