I know no one here likes jaspethyst except me, but just think for a moment how funny their dynamic could be. Their relationship would be the complete opposite of Ruby and Sapphire's

They look AWFUL next to each other because of their height difference. They only fuse under extreme circumstances. The mere thought of public kissing makes them gag. Amethyst deliberately annoys Jasper when she's bored, only to get a 🖕 in return. NO ONE supports them (except, at best, Greg and Garnet). Steven, Peridot, Pearl, and Lapis are BEGGING Amethyst to think twice about her choice

I came across a fandom's headcanon that Crazy Lace Agate is a fusion of amethyst and jasper, and I'm DELIGHTED at the mere thought of it!!!

Imagine all amethysts' love of stupid pranks and the unpredictability of our jasper, I just... Their fusion could create the most wild and unexpected pranks in the world, and CLA literally looks like that! I can see her giving someone a can of beer to celebrate their acquaintance, and it exploding when opened. Then several doves fly out with a flag that says "I love you [name of the person who opened the can]!" or something like this haha

So here is my version of these two without the fusion

I think this Amethyst is very mean and nasty when alone, but becomes much sweeter with Jasper

Jasper, on the contrary, is kind and non-confrontational on her own, but doesn't take kindly to any negative comments directed at her Amethyst

They are very funny together and definitely love to play pranks

I came up with these two in about 15 minutes, and I already adore them!!! They're my new kids

I just watched Danny's sketches that he posted recently, and I'm absolutely LOVING Jasper in human au! She's so adorable!!! I really missed her screen time in a more casual setting. She's so silly, and I love her so much! I think she's canonically very socially awkward. I think the "I don't know their names" scene is a hint that she spent most of her time in Homeworld, where the living gems act as walls and such. The girl was literally alone, separated from her family, and add to that her social issues, I just--

I just want to see her happy with the other Jaspers from the zoo, please

Since I'm writing this off-topic post anyway, please leave as many headcanons about Jasper or the other quartz or other gems (any really) in the comments as possible. I really want to read them!!! Even the most stupid and non-canon ones are welcome

I'll start: I think Jasper has very beautiful handwriting, almost like calligraphy. She trained very hard to be perfect in this too
