I guess this account will be used to document the development process of the Sand Spirit, a fantasy adventure story that I've been working on. I say I guess because I might forget this account exists.

I don't know how it's possible that I've obsessed over this series since I was like 9 and still can't draw Super Saiyan hair. I don't know why it's inverted.

But Piranha Plant and Spirits mode dropped my hype so far down that I didn’t stop playing Persona when my pre-order arrived.

Drawing Digimon has taught me two things.

The patience to draw small and complicated details and the impatience to know when to stop.

UlForce Veedramon - Digimon

So I went through an extended period of obsessing about Digimon.

It resulting in me trying to draw some, in spite of knowing how over designed they are.

I just realised that I never uploaded this redesign of Falx anywhere.

I had to sacrifice her falcon motif, but I’m happier with this design overall. I intended to make her look like a motherly angel and a lady of war.

Oh Jeez, I haven't done anything

So I was working on a backlog so I could consistently upload stuff… I was focusing on making fan art, because views. But then it rapidly became apparent that the only fan art I like making is Dragon Ball and whatever my obsession of the month is. And then I got a job. And I may be moving. And I’m still working on Sand Spirit scripts and drafts and designs. And my birthday is on the 27th. And then Christmas. Yes, I consider my birthday and christmas work. In other words, progress was short. I was aiming to compile at least 30 drawings and start uploading every 2 or 3 days. But I didn’t want it to be entirely Dragon Ball. And I only recently managed to pass by that goal. And half of the drawings are Dragon Ball anyway. At this point, I’ve basically decided to wait until New Year before I start uploading stuff again. Because it’s a good arbitrary time to start and gives me time to prepare. tl;dr My pre-emptive new year’s resolution is to upload stuff every 3 days. Preparing for Christmas in November is for scrubs.

I haven’t updated in a while, so have a doodle I did of Sahara a couple of months ago. As Sahara’s design is, naturally, the oldest design in Sand Spirit, I felt like I should update it to keep in line with the others. I mainly wanted to change her fringe. In hindsight, this is technically a underwhelming spoiler; Sahara likes introducing herself with; “IT IS I-”
