He sighs, “Uh, yeah, what’s up?” “What are we?” He’s silent, “What do you think we are?” “Todd, I want you to say what we are.” He shrugs, “We’re together...just sort of...not?” “Why though?” “I need to be a good person first.” “Todd you are a good person.” He shrugs, “I really love you.” “I know...I love you too.” He shrugs, slightly more exaggerated than the last time, “I just don’t think we need a title.” “I’d like to have one.” He smiles at me, “I know...I just don’t wanna rush with you or anything.” “I know but-” “Could we talk about it, like, later?” I nudge him, playfully, he grabs my face in his hands, “All I know is that you’re a really good person to me, I just wanna be able to be good to you too.” He kisses my forehead, his arms around my waist and I run my hands through his hair, “Todd-” “You already know I’m yours...” His lips press to my cheek, his eyes closing, “Can we talk later about this?” “Okay.” I kiss him gently before turning to face his chest, pulling him by his shirt until his chest is against my nose, I smile, kissing under his chin as I fall back asleep in his bed.
