It's still the Valentine Weekend marathon, so...
I think of this concept as one of those anime ED sequences... with Riley and Ellie in two different color tones and being the romantics they are (except I don't have much of a colorful background in physical and I forgot how tedious is to color on cardstock).
Here it is - my DTIYS for @missionkitty's Moonlight Valley's 5th anniversary~ It's the cover for chapter 33, and wanted to take an opportunity to draw all of these characters :)
It was fun to paint this! (I should totally do more watercolor practice though)

One of those days where I look back at my old stuff and I'm like "I know I should do it better", and then - I do draw the thing.
The old pic (that I originally did in Nov 2017) was dear to me at the time (I even used it as a pfp in my accounts for a while), but man, the early versions of Riley and Ellie, I swear... (I mean, I was still trying to find a way to draw them in a simple and satisfied manner... but...)

Sketched with help of a stock photo reference because I sometimes seem to forget they do have this difference, lol
(also, way-waaaaay early than what I usually tend to draw them like? They aren't dating yet in this time frame)
A while ago, I wrote a post where I was headcanoning possible body shapes of the Dance with Devils boys, and I was inspired, let's say.
It's not a perfect (first) sketch I did of Mage (all the way back in late 2022!) with that "beefy" body shape I BELIEVE it fits him, but GOD,...
(it's based on his beach cg from the game... which I have as a acryllic stand, lol)

The urge to draw one of my OTPs like this was đ©... but then I fumbled and procrastinated in finishing it.
I had this idea of redrawing a screencap from quite a while. There was a Vapowave compilation video that appeared on my YT reccomendations which thumbnail caught my attention just because of its somewhat silly premise (it was from a 80s or very-very early 90s commercial for beverages or bubblegum... wish I knew which it was since I don't have the link of the video on question in my hands, lol).
Silly concept of a couple on what it seems like a boat in the middle of a summery day = why not trying it on Mage and Ritsuka? It's been a long while since I last drew them too, hahah.
Just a drawing exercise trying to understand some anatomy (and I reworked details on this after a while because I wasn't convinced on the first version of this pic's linearts... Even though I know some things are still a little off, OTL).
I also made a noise-filled edit that makes it look like coming from an old TV screencap from a VHS, but I will be real in saying that I'm not fully convinced on how it came out, lol. This edit and the original commercial screencap I used as base are under the Keep Reading cut~

I know itâs not perfect, and I donât want to worry about that... To be fair, itâs been also a long time that I havenât drawn anything with my tablet due to same silly worries about laptop and what not, and other stuff I have on mind that I take as priorities (also about having a sketch on pencil and paper rather than doing it directly on the Intuos because my results get mixed, lol).
So, anyway. Thinking about her (and Switch, cuz sometimes they come in package whenever I think of one or the other).
