Hmmm I think it’s time to remake Norman so he’s not a sideblog anymore but idk
She hated this. She hated it.
“.. I dont’ know what to do. They’re both angry and I just-”
Anya was between a rock and a hard place, and she’d broke down on the first person she’d seen. Poor guy. He probably didn’t deserve having a woman go down the rabbit hole on him but.. here she was.
“I-” She stopped, listening to the man’s words and nodding; following his prompting after realizing that -yes, she is in fact getting them both soaked.
“Y-yeah.. I’m sorry.”
First thing on his mind was finding them the nearest shelter. This woman was in trouble and he couldn’t just stand there to let this happen. Turning around to begin walking Norman decides to lead her to the Metropolitan Police Department, his own apartment further away. He was already beginning to feel shivers trace down his spine from how long they’d been outside in the rain for, his wet hair sticking to his face. However his attention remains primarily on Anya, helping her into the building, water dripping around them from how soaked their clothing was.
“Stay here, I’ll find you something.” He spoke in a reassuring voice, gesturing for Anya to sit. It’s not much but Norman takes an officer’s jacket draped on top of a chair, returning with it. He then places it around her shoulders, kneeling down in front of the other. He needed to get her out of those clothes to prevent the female from catching a cold. There’s not a lot he could do in this situation but he hoped it would warm her up a lot more than standing out there in the rain. “I’m sorry it’s not much. Are you sure you won’t be needing a ride home? I don’t think you should be walking alone like this.” It was hard to associate rain with anything positive after what happened those past months. Especially with how hard it was hammering right now.

"No fucking way!" Gavin shouted "This is my fucking case and I won't give it to those fuckers from the FBI!" those meddling agents! Gavin couldn't stand them. Always taking over and collecting the fame when the work was basically already done. Both hands on the desk, he looked like he was about to jump his superior.
Fowler just rolled his eyes, he already knew Gavins explosive temper and looked less then impressed. "You are not giving the case to them, they are sending and Agent to support you. And if you have a problem with that, file a complaint but leave your fucking badge on my desk!" the Captain knew how to play the Detective, he was all bark but not much bite and he knew Gavin would cling to his job like his life depended on it.
This threat about leaving the badge became old really quickly but it always worked, Gavin would rather swallow his pride than to give up his position. He straightened himself and snarled "They are going to regret this." and with they he meant the whole fucking bureau. Still steaming and already planning how to piss off that agent the best he could he left Fowlers office to meet up with this guy at the front desk.
Quickly he eyeballed the new guy, less than impressive. He looked like the type of Guy he would steal lunch money from if they were still in high school. "Let's skip the formalities, I'm Detective Reed. Now get a move on, we got a crime scene." Gavin said and was already on the move to the parking lot. Sifting through a crime scene was one of his favourite things about his job. And he would not let a snobbish agent ruin his fun.
Norman’s name wasn’t exactly unknown, he’d already been involved in a case with the Philadelphia Police Department prior. His face was all over the headlines and television broadcasts, regarding him as a national hero for his actions in placing an end to the killings that claimed eight victims. If he had to be honest, nothing in his life ever came close to this — he had the shit beaten out of him, almost had his entire body crushed by a car compactor, a katana moments away from slicing his abdomen plus that bastard was about to kill him with a sledgehammer! He was surprised this whole thing didn’t turn him into a basketcase.
A hand feels over his pocket. There’s a few tubes of Triptocaine that will last him in case of the event of a withdrawal. He wasn’t suffering from any current symptoms but he always comes prepared. Norman didn’t have much time to introduce himself towards the Detective when the man was already walking away from him, trailing along behind the other. So far he hadn’t received a first impression from Gavin but he can already tell the man wasn’t pleased on having him meddling in his business. It was the same with a lot of partners Norman had been paired up with. They’d claim he’s useless and provided nothing towards the case, only for him to excel without them. Other times he did get placed together with pleasant people, but those were rare. Very rare. Last guy he enjoyed working with ended up being killed on the job; something he never forgot.
“So....what happened?” Norman pursues an attempt to start a conversation, his body resting in the passenger’s side after they reached the parking space. From the information he received, this definitely happened more than once. He’ll find more once they reach the crime scene before he starts building a profile on their killer.
@nix-mc500 liked for a starter.
Thick smoke completely clouded the apartment in an investigation gone wrong, making it impossible to see, his eyes watering. The suspect got away after subduing Norman, leaving him with a painful head injury, and set the whole place on fire. It looks like that fucker was determined to kill and throw him off the case. Whether he was successful or not, he couldn’t allow that bastard to quench the sick gratification. Norman presses his dress shirt against his mouth and nose to prevent himself from inhaling any of it in, trying to navigate for safety. He did what he could not to panic but that building could collapse at any moment. He’ll be a burned pancake if he didn’t make it out of there quickly — somehow, that didn’t sound as bad compared to what he’d been placed through already.
Everything was currently throbbing, an eye sliding shut while blood dripped past it in a thin line. Able to feel his heart beat heavily inside of his chest Norman continues to keep his body low, moving through the bedroom until a door reached his view. Grasping onto its handle there’s a rattling sound from its refusal to budge, trying to smash his body weight against the door to force it open. The longer he lingers for his lungs are slowly starved of oxygen, causing Norman to choke. Lightheadedness was beginning to kick in, his body stumbling out as the door swung open from the final push he gave, colliding hard with the floor into the burning living room. Parts of the roof had started to collapse due to the flames continuing to lick through the interior, Norman managing to drag himself across the ground a little further before he was physically incapable anymore, the smoke overpowering. He couldn’t pass out here. He just couldn’t.

Gavin leaned over from his desk to check on Norman who was now on the floor. He didn’t know what was going on with him but it looked like he was not having a great time.
“Yo, Jay-jay, you doing okay there?” He asked, brows furrowed in worry. For a moment he still hesitated, then he put his phone away and got up, just to kneel next to the Agent. Gently he put his hand on the mans shoulder. This looked a lot worse than just hitting your desk. You didn’t usually crumble from that.
“Hey, Norman, can you hear me?” Gavin asked again, he got more and more worried by the second “Do you need an ambulance?”
There was a muffled voice but it’s hard to make out who the owner was. Norman tries to heave his body upwards but a sudden sharp pain shoots through his gut, causing him to drop back down. Vitals going absolutely crazy inside of him, he feels Gavin’s hand on his shoulder, struggling to concentrate on the now blurry face. Norman can only stare towards him, blinking rapidly, skin completely void from colour. He was sure the man was trying to tell him something but he’s unable to make out what it was exactly from the constant hallucinations affecting his senses.
Norman’s eyes squeeze shut, the sweat sticking to his face. It felt like everything was finally at peace once he fell unconscious against the floor, body relaxing. The pain had stopped, but at what cause?

The detective was on her way back to her desk after a particularly long debriefing meeting with the Captain when she saw Jayden go down. Careful not to draw any more attention to him (if she were him, she’d hardly want everyone crowding her), she makes her way over. Harper’s brows furrowed in concern, kneeling by his desk.
“….Agent..Jayden, right?” Her voice was low, tone dipped in concern, “that fall looked nasty and—“ She stoped herself as he pulled his knees in. “Oh. Hey…-would you like me to help get you somewhere with less eyes on you?” She isn’t even sure if he’s listening, but she extends a careful hand, offering her support should he accept it.
“Please don’t.” He manages to whisper, feeling something wet come into contact with his lips; blood from an evident nosebleed. Jesus Christ her voice felt too loud despite how low she was speaking! Forcing Jayden to grab onto his own ears to try and drown out the noise, breathing escalating in pace. It hurt. Everything was throbbing, he’s struggling to understand what’s real and what’s not and everything Jayden did made him feel sick.
But then it happened. He stares towards the extended hand, eyes becoming huge. Under the impression he was about to be touched he immediately pulls away, feeling full panic hit him. It’s hard to think straight when you’re in the middle of a withdrawal but... an anxiety attack on top of all of this was a recipe for impending disaster. His vision blurs with tears, finding himself trapped in a situation of vulnerability. If anything, he needed help getting out of here more than ever before attention was drawn towards his pained sobbing. He was a fucking idiot. This was all his fault for ignoring it when he really needed it. Maybe if he just had one snort everything will be fine.

Jesse smiled and leans forward tickling her lips against his with a chuckle. “You don’t really get to have any fun. That’s not good. You seem a bit stressed. With the whole coffee thing.” She presses a kiss to his lips, loosening his tie a little.
Her heart was beating fast. It was exciting. Jesse shifts in his lap to be more comfortable. A hand slipped along his shoulder. “Trust me. I wasn’t either. This was the only time to catch you.”
Norman quickly becomes lost into the kiss, blood rushing to his face. His heart skips a beat inside his chest, arms idly sliding around Jesse’s waist. The longer he examines her face the more he can appreciate how good looking she was. Norman knew for sure that he liked guys, especially from a young age. However the female body was something he gradually came to terms in loving, trying not to allow a past experience from destroying that attraction for him. He needed to accept himself for who he was but it felt increasingly difficult.

“Aw, but I like Jay-Jay.” Gavin said and pulled a face but it quickly turned into a mischievous grin again. “Has a cute ring to it, don’t you think? Jay-Jay~” he almost whispered that nickname seductively. Oh he loved to be a pain in the ass.
A glare is shot in Gavin’s direction. The whisper prompts a shiver to run down his spine though, causing him to freeze. He wasn’t exactly sure what effect Gavin had on him but it was clearly working. He exhales sharply, tugging at his collar, the heat visibly getting to him as blood quickly rushed to his face. Moving to rub his hands over the whole of it, Norman tried hard to look annoyed at Gavin, but it wasn’t shifting towards his favour. “Are you trying to grab my attention? Because you definitely have it right now.” Pinching the bridge of his nose Jayden groaned, wishing he didn’t allow this endearing nickname to come into existence. Don’t worry Gavin, it’ll grow on him eventually.
@nix-mc500 asked: “Special Agent Jayden?” The MC500 approaches the spockeddy man, “I was asked by a Detective Reign to discuss cooking and fire safety with you.”
“Cooking and fir—” Norman pauses, squinting at the android. This was a joke, right? Why would he need to be taught about something that was very obvious by now and everyone should know? Was Harper unable the impression he was incapable of doing things alone? Being babied around wasn’t something he was quite keen on. “With all due respect sir, I don’t think this is something you need to lecture me about.” The man intertwines his fingers, trying to politely turn Phoenix down. Looks like he’ll have to bring this up to the Detective later.
