He isn’t prone to keeping tabs on his neighbors. Whether they be next door, across the hall or in this case, across the damned building. But this one, she’s been enticing him. He’s been somewhat watching her. From the first time, he’s gathered she’s been working in something fancy. After all, she does wear a suit. Though this was the first time they’ve maintained eye contact. Slate optics linger, gazing at her from where he sat on the bed. He stares at her face, nothing else even those she keeps under dressing. Thin eyebrow is cocked upwards in questioning as he reaches up, removing his cigarette from between his lips. Smoke billows around him and it evaporates as he inclined his head. She really didn’t care about privacy? Or was this to try and see if he’d do something? He doesn’t want to fuck with business women, he knows they well mean business. Instead, he gives a small quirk of his lips, chuckling to himself as he shakes his head and looks away. What game is she trying to play at?
He places the cigarette in the ash tray, burning it out before getting up and going over to his window. In the split second he looks over at her again, he takes in the view he’s given. Taunt body but she has muscle. Does she work out? Odd, he’s never seen her at the gym before. Maybe they go at different times. Levi stares at her again, hand on the drapes but he doesn’t yet move to close them. This confused him yet intrigued him. She doesn’t close her drapes but shes the one undressing… yet he will because he feels as if she needs her privacy? Was he wrong in wanting to do that? He doesn’t even know this chick. Fingers twitch in want to wave at her or at least acknowledge her but on a second thought — he’d feel like that weirdo from across the building. He shakes his head, a half smile on his lips as he draws the drapes but he leaves it cracked. If she looked hard enough, which she’d notice, she seems smart, then she can tell she can still him and he can still see her.
Eyes locked to each other, and Zoe wonders if she’s ever seen him before.
Surely, such pleasant face, she’d remember, but one can never be too sure.
It amuses her, the way he quirks his eyebrow at her, the way his lips curl,
and the way the cigarette sits between his lips. Yes, he definitely was an attractive man,
all the more reason why she wouldn’t back out now, perfectly aware of her own appearance.
Button after button, she reveals her chest, and stomach, as the white fabric
falls to her sides. Zoe looks at the stranger across the street with an arrogant smile
playing on her lips, as she lets her hair down. Strict bun spills into wild tangles across her shoulders, as the curtain hides the new-found fascination from across the street.
But she’s too confident; or perhaps holds too much pride into her looks to quit just yet.
Shirt slips down from her shoulders, and she flashes her teeth, turning around.
Fingers make a quick work of her bra, unclasping it, showing off her bare back.
It feels strange, yet oddly exciting… Surely, if it was other way around, Zoe wouldn’t
be able to look away from that. One last look behind her shoulder,
she pulls the heavy curtain and skips across the room to the shower, wondering
if the next day he’ll be there as well.
A part of her anticipates so.
