Pen cleanup day! Fresh rugs and clean beds, along with some neck and leg massages. 🥺

Got Kylo all cleaned up yesterday at the vet, no more matted fur and a little bit shaved in some areas on his bottom.

Back in 2022 we got these sets of sore hock booties for Kapi when he got sick, but they arrived too late and we never used them. We dug them up and decided to put them on Kylo after his appointment since he has shorter and less fur than Kapi did (though we haven't really had a problem with sore hocks for either of them) and it'll help keep him a bit cleaner for now.

Little socks of shame. I watched him pee on a rug while I was vacuuming 5 inches away. 💀

Only a couple more days left of fenbendazole.

He's been tipping over much less, but his tilt is still pretty obvious. His poops have been so smelly this week and we gave him a water-and-towel bottom bath this morning, but we have an tech appointment tomorrow to get him more thoroughly cleaned up too. We'll be getting some bunny-safe shampoo at House Rabbit Society this weekend so we can have that on hand.

Still eating, drinking, and pooping a lot, and still get neck massages and lots of pets. 🥺

We got a little timothy hay stack with little dried apple bits on it last time we went to HRS a few weeks ago.

Kylo's been on a strict timothy hay diet for the past couple of week with an occasional joint support treat, and his poops have improved a lot this week since we stopped fresh greens and pellets (we gave these initially to help his appetite on top of critical care and stopped when he started eating more hay by himself). The wet and big smooshy poops have stopped in the last week or so which feels so good, and we'll be taking him into the vet to help with bottom cleaning what we couldn't get out.

Here's to hoping improvement continues. 🥹

We've been giving Kylo lots of neck massages when we can, especially after meds or a one cleanup. He gets so chill or sleepy after. 🥺

Refreshed the soft pen yesterday and rolled down one of the cuddle pods from House Rabbit Society and Kylo's really loving the pod. Energy is getting better, poops are even more normal and a lot; feeling like the road to recovery is progressing even though he's still tilty.

Proof of finally eating by himself and crunchy timothy hay at that!

We're still feeding him critical care but glad to see he has more energy still to eat and his poops have generally been getting better. That energy means it becomes tougher to keep him bunny burrito'ed up for meds and syringe feedings, but we'd rather see the energy than not. 🙏🏻
