Well well well... Finally I had the chance to watch one of the most anticipated -at least for me- superhero movies of 2019 *drum roll* SPIDER-MAN. Jokes aside, I know that I waited way too long to see this movie because of the reasons;
I missed it when it was in theaters because I was still trying to recover from Avenger: End Game - I know there are months between the two movies but still...
Life happened
Spidey leaving MCU or not leaving MCU - he is staying by the way if you haven’t heard about it yet... at least he was staying the last time I checked
Leaving my reasons for not seeing the movie till this day aside, I have to say this movie left me with almost same feelings that Fantastic Beasts the second movie had. Very glad that I didn’t watch the movie in theaters for the reasons that there were times when I found myself talking to -almost screaming at- the screen. Why? you may or may not ask, it was because how easily Quentin Beck a.k.a Mysterio could deceive both Spidey and Nick Fury. I tried to understand Peter with given reasons that he lost Tony and needed someone to understand the burden of people expecting him filling Tony’s shoes and Mr. Beck played the role really well. When we look at the case of Mr. Fury, I found the given reason weak. If I didn’t miss anything, the given reason is that, as stated by Fury himself, after the blip, in other words the snap, he no longer knew nothing and lost his crew but b*tch please, you’ve been the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. before. Someone as paranoid as Fury - even Mysterio says that- shouldn’t have been tricked that easily. After all that has happened he still doubted Peter but trusted Beck right after he destroyed two Elementals. I guess I’m just furious *wink wink* because I expected more strorywise. Although the movie didn’t satisfy me storywise, I very much enjoyed the action and effects.
To sum it up, it’s safe to say that I am looking forward to what’s going to happen next now that Peter’s identity is exposed as well as the fabricated video of Mysterio accusing Spidey for the attack - although I do believe that they will clear him of the accusation with the help of E.D.I.T.H. *fingers crossed because Mysterio’s last words did scare me a little bit*.
p.s. Even Dead, I’m The Hero. Gone but not forgotten...
