What Happens to Your Dreams?
As children, we are dreamers. We believe in the unseen, and we do the impossible. We take risks: like jumping over fences, not knowing what’s on the other side and landing safely.
But somewhere along the line, we lose this. We become less of a risk taker,…

A Personal Letter from Kareem Taylor, Regarding BET's Search for Host
“CNN wants to book you!”, were the words I heard over the phone in summer of 2010 during senior year of college, hoping I’d have a job after graduation.
My dream of becoming an announcer started to come alive, and I wondered, is this what life is like…

When You Do Something Exceptional
Kareem's Blog: When You Do Something Exceptional
When you write a blog post, you include a surprise (like a free audio link).
When you sing in front of an audience, your performance is better than the pros.
When you present to a group of people, you don’t use Power Point, you create a short video.
When…

Instead of saying you're funny, make us laugh
Kareem's Blog: Instead of saying you're funny, make us laugh
Yesterday morning, while I was riding the Brooklyn-bound train, a man boarded the cart, and sat down. As the train approached his stop, he began handing out his card unsurely proclaiming “I’m a comedian. All of my stuff is on my YouTube. I’m really funny.”

Before asking for help (show us what you can do without it)
Kareem's Blog: Before asking for help (show us what you can do without it)
Consider if you’ve already been leaving a trail. If everyone around town already knows of your great work.
The competition runs long. Everyone wants what you want. Why do I need to help… you?
By the time you ask for help, you should have proven that you…

Love Don't Live Here - Kay Tunes
Leaving a trail
Your one idea, matters, however, it has no use if it resides in your brain, like storage. You must take that idea, acknowledge your resources and give birth to even the smallest of action. And, you have to know, for a fact, the results you want are not instant.
You weren't the best at first try, be that as it may - no one has ever become the best without a first try. Begin to appreciate even the smallest of successes. A microscope wouldn't be able to see it - but it counts. They're called seeds. Leave a trail.
After you take action on that of which has been on your heart, nothing feels better than knowing it was, in the beginning -
One idea.
