It's been four months since my husband passed away. I have been experiencing a lot of changes in my life. I have also gained a lot of support from a lot of people both here and in my community that, I've gotten to know for the past, seventeen years I have been living there. I'm grateful for all the many blessings that God and everyone has been to me. To all that donated, thank you so much.
I'm sad to inform you all, my husband passed away Jan. 13, 2026 from a long battle with cancer. I have only a few days to raise funding to have him cremated.

From a recent visit; my husband got sick and needed to be put in isolation, with IV fluids. All the while, his Oncologist told me. Terry's dying and try the best I can and do everything, as peaceful as possible.
In addition to it all, his new condition: Mantel Cell Lymphoma. Is the icing on the cake and started a new chemotherapy. This time, IV fusion. Plus, staying home, so I don't miss work.
Update. My husband is doing much better, at home resting, and has a follow-up with his Oncologist, Monday. Along with Chemotherapy, he is always the center of attention; Especially, his team of nurses.
Just the other night, we had a health scare. My husband was taken to the hospital for a condition. Better known as, Afib.
For the past, three days. My husband has been having pain in his right arm. Now, at the Emergency Dept. At the VA hospital, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Having known this VA Hospital, I'm pleased with the caring staff, for my husband's care.
Knowing the ups and downs, caring for a loved one fighting cancer is challenging. The upside to it all:
Keeping the stress level, to a zero. Less stress on both; mind and body. Helps both, your loved one and yourself.
Spending time with them. Time is everything to anyone in the journey.
Gain experience that, may land you a job. Becoming a professional, caregiver.
Adjusting to lifestyle changes. Changing the way you and your loved one eat and the food you buy to, maintain a healthy diet.
Meeting the care team that, helps you care for your loved one. Including resources, to understand what it's all about.
It's okay to laugh, a little. Keeping a sense of humor is good medicine and has no side effects.
Through it all, I wouldn't trade it in for anything.
It's been almost two years since my husband started chemotherapy . The transition between being a wife and caregiver has its moments when, either; he'd be hungry, thirsty, and grippy when he feels irritated by the slightest thing. When he does get like that, I have to remember: It’s the cancer talking and take it with a grain of salt. It's not easy, but it can be handled with love and understanding.
