EVENING DRESS  |  Worn for a dinner at Williamsburg Inn, Colonial Williamsburg, 16 October 1957 during the State Visit to the United States of America. This gown is one of the finest examples of Hartnell’s signature crinoline-skirted designs for The Queen, embellished with embroidery in high relief. The Queen wore the dress a second time in 1958 for the RAF anniversary  The Royal Collection.
