I blame plargos for my love of tooth rotting fluff I can genuinely never get enough of those two
In one of my Yap sessions/rants, I mentioned how The VOID doesn't have the technology we have. They don't have modern phones, TVs, and a lot more. Someone (another twomp fan: myosotis-elinora) brought up the fact that it may be because modern technology we know is human made and that it hasn't been made or introduced yet. And considering humans are moving to the VOID (which, I'll make a rant about in the future because why are they moving suddenly?) does this mean they'll eventually introduce what they made on Earth to the Void?
And if they do, will the devices even work? I think personally they wouldn't, considering modern technology needs Wi-Fi and it's most likely the Void does not have that. So if they were to create modern devices in The VOID, they would probably need to edit it to where it works inside of it. I think with the help of both humans and people inside the VOID, it could work but it'd probably take forever or not even happen at all. After all, we didn't get IPhones and Samsung TVs right on the spot. They had prototypes and designs from before (such as the telephone before we got our modern phones).
What do you think? Do you think it'd be possible to bring modern technology into the VOID?
How do laws work in the VOID? Like we've seen Mr. Plant murder many people, especially in his famous episode and we saw him on the news and now he's infamous for killing others.. But why don't they just arrest him then? We know there's police in the VOID, we see that others still talk comfortably around and to him (such as Mark) as if he never killed anyone.
Clearly there are probably laws that mirror Earths (which I can only assume because there isn't a lot of proof for that), but how come nothing is done for it? Obviously I'm not saying they should arrest both Argos and Mr. Plant, it's just like... What are the police doing bro? Like these guys are walking around freely when they know these two (or probably only Mr. Plant) have killed people before.
Are like, all the cops just lousy and don't care in the VOID? Or is murder not a big deal in the VOID?
I'm going to be so annoying when that wedding episode drops
About my post questioning how things work in the VOID, like what do they learn, what animals lie there, and so much more. I decided to just use my creativity and make my own creatures in the VOID. I haven't figured them out but I want to make at least 5 animals or more that could exist in the VOID. Here's the first one I've already made concept art of:
Basically, I think that in the VOID a lot of the creatures humans say are myths are truths in the VOID. They know of their existence (well they're seen as myths now) this is because the VOID's creatures do travel to the human world, just like how humans do with the VOID. Except they're called something extremely different and take what the humans call them as somewhat offensive.
To the humans, this creature is a mermaid. To the VOID, they're swimmers. I took both the inspiration of mermaids and sirens into their character. Swimmers are creatures with the body of something human-like and the lower body of a fish-like tail. They can be different types of aquatic creatures, like sharks and angel fish. They feed primarily on meat and can resort to cannibalism If hungry enough, you are not supposed to approach them as they are loners and can perceive a lot of things as a threat. They communicate with a language that sounds similar to singing, kind of like abnormal whistles and hums. They only sing to lead in their prey.
While they are dangerous, this doesn't mean that they at least don't have a moral code. Knowing how the VOID treats banana leaves, they could treat swimmers quite roughly. Most "people" in the VOID think of swimmers as violent and blood-thirsty, however this is not true. While yes, they're carnivores and will resort to cannibalism if hungry enough, they won't just eat everyone. They're just trying to eat, not their fault they eat meat. They are currently at risk of being endangered due to the myths surrounding them.
Whatever question you have of them, ask it and I'll answer.
Edit: I'm in my flop era wowaahhhh 🥹
Knowing that the VOID is a very different place, do you think they have animals in the VOID? Argos has talked about wanting a pet before. That's how he got Mr. Rock.
Imagine there's a bunny, but its DUST. An ACTUAL dust bunny.
If Mr. Rock is sentient I don't doubt dust can be too.
Mr Plant had an emo phase and I'll die on this hill
I want to be included so I'm deciding to share my plargos fan children on tumblr for the first time please don't make fun of me I'll start crying
The girl is Aster, the boy is Vision. I'm currently posting about Aster on my tiktok (@homicidalliumybeloved). I'll include Vision soon in the series, but I'll share their personality a bit!!
Vision (also known as Vis) has a huge sense of showmanship and drama, and specifically enjoys dressing up with different outfits from time to time. He is highly duplicitous, manipulative, uncompromising and unscrupulous, showing no hesitation in lying, tricking, playing filthy and diverse mendacious methods in order to achieve his goals. He also seems to have a rather sadistic and cold-blooded side to him, he constantly laughs at other's dismays. However, Vision is very lonely. He hadn't realized how alone he was. In fact, he hated his loneliness so much that just for not being on his own again he renounced to domain the world as he had ever desired. However, since then, it seems that he still remains his annoying and mischievous self. Despite this, Vision still struggles with understanding the concept of friendship, and still shows his mischievous, problematic and self-centered traits which makes him hard to befriend.
Aster (true name is Asteria) prefers to be alone, avoiding others to avoid trouble (this does not work out unfortunately). She's shown to make snarky comments, not often caring for her reputation. Aster also possesses a cynical, cold and sardonic demeanor, and because of this, she isn't popular. Aster also takes interest in macabre and gothic aesthetics. She is known for her crude language, quick wit, and sharp, intelligent comebacks. She is brutally honest, often turning serious situations into jokes with her dark, edgy humor. Despite this, she possesses some form of moral code, similar to this she has a cute, softer interior around those she enjoys. Aster is very stubborn and has a hard time expressing how she feels and what she wants. When repeatedly challenged, she often becomes awkward and tongue-tied, then aggressive.
THEY'RE ENGAG D THEY'RE ENGAGED OH MY GOD OH MY DDG EK DY SSJEHENSYWNEYEJEYSKHHS UEEESSSSS THE WORLD CHEERED
how do you think time works in the VOID? Obviously the VOID isn't really up-to-date like how Earth is, so I'm assuming time might be quite different in the VOID. Along with their school systems.
What do you think they learn in school? Do you think they'd have their own way of figuring out math? Do you think they have different classes rather than ELA, History, Math?
I would like to think they do History as they have scientists in the VOID, so it might not be hard to figure out how the VOID even started existing. But also they might not be as advanced as our scientists..
Fun fact:did you know Ashur wanted to make the VOID it's own currency? like their own one dollar bill, ten dollar bill, quarters, nickels... But I think he didn't do it because he probably forgot. I dunno, I kinda forgot why he didn't either lol
Things you never think about.
ASHUR!!!! DROP YANDERE MR PLANT AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!!!!
really cool plargos animation I'm working on that I might not finish 💔
It was just to practice my animating skills but they make me so sick you KNOW it's gotta be them
I literally have NOTHING to rant about and I'm out of my twomp fixation and I like ranting about Popee The Performer and my theories about it, so here we are.
- As stated by Ryuji Masuda (the creator of ptp), he tells us that Popee's biggest fear is loneliness, and it's even canon that Popee fears he won't be loved if he doesn't achieve greatness. Popee wouldn't be this way for no reason. It's clear to us that he wasn't spoiled or given attention by Papi (or maybe his mother), he had a nanny and Papi was gone most of the series too and in Popee's childhood. He didn't even appear till Season 2. Popee literally canonically has abandonment issues and no one would have that for no reason, especially a teenager. So with this information, it is definitely heavily implied that Papi wasn't really in Popee's childhood, which shows he was neglectful despite being afraid of absence of love and passion and missing his family when he's away from them. Popee hates Papi to the point he literally thinks he isn't his real father and his real father is elsewhere.
- Here are my headcanons or theories, I personally think Papi was in the city with Marifa for a long time before going back to Popee in the circus. Why he did I'm unsure about, maybe Marifa's mother (since I'm pretty sure Marifa and Popee are step siblings) went on vacation and Papi had to watch Marifa in the meantime and when she came back, he left to see Popee. Unfortunately, since Popee remembers how Papi abandoned him and left him in a hot desert with Kedamono, he was PISSED as soon as he realize it was him - but since he hasn't saw him in a while it didn't immediately clock to him that Papi was his father.
- I personally think that Popee looks a lot like his mother, blonde hair, blue eyes.... Yeah basically just the male version of her.
- (oh boy here comes science) If my theory about Popee and Marifa being half-blooded siblings is wrong, then Marifa might be heterozygous. Heterozygous, as related to genetics, refers to having inherited different versions (alleles) of a genomic marker from each biological parent. Thus, an individual who is heterozygous for a genomic marker has two different versions of that marker. (Ex: A heterozygous individual (Bb) has brown eyes (dominant) but carries the recessive blue-eye allele (b).) if Marifa and Popee DO have the same mother, either Papi or their mother carried a recessive gene with them and passed it onto Marifa. But I highly doubt that's the case since Marifa looks different from both Popee and Papi, Popee has blonde hair and blue eyes (which might make him a homozygous recessive since both blonde and blue hair are recessive). Papi has black hair and... black or brown eyes??? but in his toys he has blue eyes so I'm not totally sure if he's homozygous dominant or heterozygous. Marifa has silver hair and green eyes... Which is highly different so she's either the daughter of a another woman or man..... Or maybe she's adopted.
- I personally think Papi and his wife divorced, maybe Papi cheated (before you say that's a wild accusation do NOT because its canon that Papi is UNABLE to identify his wife and SOMETIMES thinks Popee and Marifa's nursery school teacher is his wife, so if I were to hear that that the nursery teacher is Marifa's mom I wouldn't be surprised). Maybe they divorced when Marifa came along (which backups my theory EVEN MORE) since its also canon that Popee thought that the nursery teacher was also his mom at the time. You might be thinking that maybe Popee's mother just died, but it is explicitly said that she IS alive somewhere and Popee just has no clue who she is. I also theorize that she MAY have been Papi's one night stand, but was not aware she was pregnant with Popee until a few months into the pregnancy where she could not terminate it. So she had to wait and while Papi tried to convince her to stay, she refused and after she gave birth to Popee, she gave him to Papi and let him raise him alone. But this theory also doesn't stand since - as previously stated - Papi CONFUSED his wife with the nursery teacher. So my main theory at the moment is that they did love each other, but after Papi cheated on her accidentally (just realizing how stupid Papi might be if this is true), she found out and divorced him, leaving behind both Marifa and Popee without realizing how stupid that could be.
(I just realized how long I made this holy yap)
- Another theory is that maybe Alien is Marifa's dad. OKAY WAIT I KNOW THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE - but LISTEN. It is theorized that Aliens can get people pregnant, regardless of sex (especially in Sims lmfao). So maybe ALIEN IS THE SNEAKY LINK AND GOT PAPI PREGNANT AND HE GAVE BIRTH TO MARIFA!!! Is that far-fetched to say especially when PAPI IS CANONICALLY (MAYBE) INTERSEX???? Judge, I rest my case. It makes sense why he's so weird with Alien, HE LITERALLY LICKED HIS HEAD ONCE.
but hey, thats just a theory..... A FLIM THEORY!!
I love Plargos for how it is but I feel like it would be really interesting if there was a point in the series where before they date, Argos tries to help Mr Plant become a better person but Mr Plant genuinely thinks he can't fix himself, which leads to Mr Plant hurting Argos more than he wanted.
I think it would add a layer of depth to their relationship, and when they date afterwards it makes their relationship even more healthier if they're able to get through it together and actually communicate with one another.
AGAIN I love Plargos for what it is but I feel like if we had a plot point like this in the series it would add a layer of depth to their relationship.
Wooo haven't posted for 15 days woww
Anyways does anyone else think that Argos was that one kid who everyone else's kids kept on bothering him in every function because he didn't ignore them like their parents did???
I personally think that's how Argos found out he was great at babysitting.
Fun facts on Popee The Performer Characters!
Papi The Performer/Papi Paraphone
- Papi has died 11 times throughout the entire series.
- Papi is the strongest character in the series, as he is able to send the moon down onto the Earth, causing the end of the world.
- Papi is Popee's biological father, but may have had a Nanny raise them due to his being a wandering performer. It is "unknown" if Marifa is Papi's biological daughter, but in the spin-off, Chinchikurin, Marifa is Papi's biological child—she simply has a different mother than her brother.
- Somehow, Papi is unable to identify his wife and sometimes thinks Popee and Marifa's nursery school teacher is his wife.
- Papi may possibly be intersex.
- Papi's actions as seen in the show and status at the Wolf Zurkus are implied to have been distorted by Popee's vision. They have a negative relationship.
- Papi always misses his family when he's away from them.
- Papi's greatest fear is an absence of love and passion (?).
- Papi may have siblings, though their whereabouts are unknown.
- Papi has a "frog juice" allergy.
- Papi met Alien in the cafeteria of Kyoto University. This suggests they may have attended the same college.
- In response to a question asking "What was Papi's life before he became a dad?", Wakako Masuda said "More than half of [his] life was in trouble, and the rest was [getting] over it."
- If Papi had a voice actor, it would be Fujio Tokita. He passed away in 2018.
- Papi was thought up as a character with both paternal and maternal qualities. He believes Popee has a long way to go...but with his maternal side, he also thinks that Popee's very cute.

Kedamono
- Some fans have mistakenly interpreted the lemon slices as Kedamono having multiple eyes. As Ryuji Masuda has stated before, this is not the case.
- Kedamono wears a mask because he's afraid of exposing his true nature. The thing is, of course, is that everyone knows he's an animal wearing a mask—though it's possible they're unable to tell what he is, exactly. Popee doesn't treat Kedamono like an animal, though—he instead treats him like a creature with a mask that's pretending to be human, which is exactly what Kedamono is. At the same time, he will treat him as an animal or human when the situation calls for it.
- Even when Kedamono's nature occasionally rears it's head, Popee doesn't look very deep into it, which makes Kedamono relieved, and makes him feel safe to be around. Kedamono also sticks by him because, while he appreciates Popee for being shallow, he also recognizes that Popee is lonely, and doesn't want him to feel that way.
- To an extent, it seems that Kedamono admires Popee's ability to unapologetically be himself. Wakako Masuda said, on twitter, that Kedamono feels that, in trying to be human, he could be more like Popee, and complement him better. Make him stand out more, which is what he wants. What he didn't account for is that he's more skilled than Popee is. Now, he can't be human—but he can't go back to being a wolf, either.
- Kedamono has died for a grand total of 10 times throughout the entire series.
- In the future, Kedamono has a son who is also named Kedamono.
- Kedamono knows how to drive. Whether he has a license or not is unknown.
- Kedamono's son was abandoned by his mother on Kedamono's property.
- In Yandere Simulator, There is an easter egg where you can wear Kedamono's mask by pressing the 'o' key during gameplay.
- As stated by Ryuji Masuda, Kedamono's age is "about 25" in human years.
- Kedamono's many masks were inspired by the Chinese film "The King of Masks" which is about a man who wishes to pass on his mastery of Bian Lian, an art where colorful masks are worn and changed almost instantly with movement from the performer.
- There was a discrepancy regarding canon where, while Kedamono is said to be about 25, in a drawing of their future versions, Kedamono was shown to be 18. It's been confirmed that, in human years, Kedamono will be 37 when Popee is 30.
- While answering fan questions, Wakako Masuda said that while Kedamono has no siblings, he is the second "Kedamono", and the old Kedamono is "gone". This previous "Kedamono" may have been Kedamono's father, as Kedamono passes his name onto his son.
- Like Papi, if Kedamono had a voice actor, it would be Fujio Tokita.
- The sound that Kedamono makes are actually instruments called Open Cuica and Mute Cuica.
- His greatest fear is hunger.

Popee The Performer/Popee Paraphone facts
- He wants to be better than everyone else in the circus, as proven by showing acts of jealousy.
- The reason Popee misbehaves and treats others the way he does is because of jealousy. Despite his behavior towards others, Popee appears to be fond of his sister, Marifa.
- Popee seems to get frustrated often. In a tweet, Ryuji Masuda noted that, in Japan, people have a fear that they won't be loved if they don't get good results or high achievements, and that this creates much fear and anxiety. He says this is how Popee feels, as well, except that his frustration and fear become insanity.
- Popee is very prone to loneliness, as can be seen in episode 37 as well as many other instances where Popee seems to avoid any situation that involves being left on his own. While it has been officially stated that his biggest fear is 'indifference' on others' part, this may have been a mistranslation by the machine translator Wakako Masuda uses; it's safe to assume his biggest fear might be loneliness instead.
- Where it has been confirmed in the past that Popee is male, a recent thread from Wakako Masuda suggests that, while Popee was said to be a boy, his gender is more complex than "male or female". He does not want to commit to a label of "male" or "female", and instead just wants to do what he wants. This means his gender is unknown—and up to the interpretation of fans. The only person who knows Popee's gender is Mirror Popee, who reflects the same gender.
- Papi is Popee's father. Popee refuses to believe this, however.
- As stated by Ryuji Masuda, Popee has no romantic experience and does not know if he likes men or women.
- Popee has died 28 times throughout the entire series.
- It's unknown what happened to Popee's Mother or who she is, but she is alive.
- Popee's tail is fake (how does it move? We'll never know).
- Popee was created with the image of an American. Despite this, his nationality is Japanese.
- When fans saw the design for 30 year old Popee, they asked, "Did Popee give up on his circus dream?" and the creator replied, "No, he didn't give up on his dream, but rather, after 13 years, he realized there's no live audience in the desert."
- His favorite color is pink.
- Popee doesn't really like hugs.
- Popee is "allergic" to Papi.
- Popee has canonically ran away from home "many times".
- Popee's favorite games are Undertale and Pikmin.
- If Popee had a voice actor, it would be Etsuko Ichihara. She passed away in 2019.
- Popee was born with his pigtails. Papi thought that he was the reincarnation of a bunny, leading to the start of a horrible legend.
- Popee's hobby is cooking.
- Eepop is a "hidden" side of Popee, which he finds embarrassing to have exposed. (tsundere Popee canon????)
***
Eepop fun facts
- Eepop seems to need Onomadek for the same reason as Popee needs Kedamono: they are simply too lonely to go on without them. They are afraid to truly know their own self and instead must fill their existence with another person (or wolf), even though Onomadek has a tendency to antagonize them.
- Eepop does not appear to fear Popee and showed enough trust in him during episode 33 to take his hand, though they are initially shocked by his presence and stands shakily while Popee challenges Onomadek.
- Ryuji Masuda, creator of Popee the Performer, has stated in a tweet (using Google Translate) that Mirror counterparts may be female. While this is a highly debated point in the community, we now know that Eepop is the same gender as Popee—a gender only the two of them know.
- To Eepop, Popee is an embarrassment and, to them, Popee is the "mirror" version.
- Eepop has a manipulative streak that stems from their dependence. Where Popee is careless and exerts a physically violent method of control over others, Eepop instead tries to subtly get under people's skin in order to prevent abandonment. (These teens have issues)
- Like Popee, Eepop has their own logo.
***
Onomedek fun facts
- Because Eepop's gender is the same as Popee's, Onomadek may be male like Kedamono.
- There is an easter egg in S1E2 of Funny Pets referencing the wolves' masks, in which Corona dons an ever-changing oni mask that reflects her emotions.
(Unfortunately Onomedek doesn't have much facts :[)

Marifa Paraphone fun facts!
- According to Wakako Masuda, Marifa was originally conceived when they were creating characters for the second season of the show. The reason Marifa never appeared in the show was due to either a limited budget or technical limitations. It came down to her or Papi, and Papi was chosen over her because she isn't skilled enough to perform yet.
- Marifa's first (and only) appearance outside of social media is on page 8 of the Popee the Performer manga, where they introduce her and another character that doesn't appear in the show. Despite this, the first time her name was revealed was through the creator's twitter.
- Not much is known about Marifa, except that she is a trickster who feigns innocence in front of her brother, who believes that she is without fault.
- Her favorite food is pizza and her favorite pizza topping is pineapple.
- Her favorite color is light blue.
- Her greatest fear is ugliness.
- Marifa plays the tambourine.
- Marifa visits the desert from time to time.
- Marina's hobby is costume design and production.
***
Alien fun facts
- He doesn't have any, sorry Alien fans!
***
Paola fun facts
- Paola dies a total of 4 times.
- Paola is the only female character that appeared in the show besides the UFO girls.
***
Frog fun facts
- Being eaten has no effect on Frog, and it has the ability to take control of the body that had consumed it.
- Frog seems to have an infinite and unlimited amount of space inside itself, being able to eat an entire birthday cake, an infinite amount of candy, and also Papi. It seems to have another dimension inside of it.
- Frog is the only character to speak in the series, and the only character to have ever seen Kedamono's face.
- Frog is a wild desert frog.
- Frog wasn't in the show's budget, so Ryuji Masuda paid his friend that worked at a video game company ¥10,000 (USD $93.02) to make a model of just frog.

Okay, that's all!! All of this information was found in the Popee The Performer Fandom Wiki, you can find all the sources of these facts from there!
