@karoviesart Hi I was the anon. đ so anyways hi and here.
Under normal circumstances, it would have been an easily avoidable mistake.Â
Then again, under normal circumstances, they wouldnât have been down two fighters. But they were, Legend and Sky having been taken out with a bad case of the flu two days ago. So no one blamed Time for having missed the Moblin sneaking up behind him while he was protecting them.
It did leave them down yet another fighter, however, when Warriors heard his cry, whipped his head around to check what was going on, and also got smashed by a club, landing only a few feet away from Time.Â
âWe need to finish this up and fast!â Wild called, freezing yet another monster and swinging his sword into it heavily. The âblin went flying, and dissolved into purple mist a moment later, leaving behind⊠Scratch that, Wild didnât want to know what that was. Even he thought it looked nasty.
The Moblin toppled suddenly, Hyruleâs sword through itâs neck. A quick hit combo from Four and Wind took down the two lizfalos. Wild killed his bokoblin right as Twi stabbed the last one through itâs heart.Â
It was silent for a moment, a second to breath. Then Twi and Hyrule rushed over to Time and Wars, Wild went to check what the monsters left behind that he could use, and Four and Wind began checking on Legend and Sky.Â
Twenty minutes later, Wild had picked up everything that they could get some use out of, Sky and Legend had been checked over, and Warriors was found to have a spectacular set of cracked ribs and a broken arm from where heâd tried to protect himself. Time had a giant knot on his head, which Hyrule did as much as he could for, but theyâd learned early on that concussions were one thing healing magic couldnât help.Â
Setting up camp was a somber affair, especially when they ran out of red potions (theyâd only had half of one to begin with, since they had been hoping to stock up yesterday, before theyâd gotten delayed), and Hyruleâs magic ran out before Warsâ arm could be fully healed.
âIâll be fine,â He said, waving Rule off as he started to falter, âIâve done full campaigns worse off than this.â
No one mentioned the wince that he was hiding behind his smile.
And still, Time wasnât awake.
In fact, he didnât wake up until just before dinner was ready.
Wild wasnât paying attention- he was too busy working on dinner. But he heard Twi swear, and he heard the solid SLAP that happened a second later.
When he looked up, Twiâs cheek was rapidly turning red, while Time was blindly flailing around with his hand.
âTwilight? Twi why are you so far away?â Time asked, panicking harder every moment.
âIâm two feet away, Time!â Twi said, slightly frustrated.
âTwi, itâs not his fault. Concussionsâll mess with depth perception,â Warriors said, scooting away from another flailing fist.Â
Twi grabbed Timeâs wrists to stop him, and their leader bodily flinched.
âJust me, just me,â Twi soothed.Â
â âs so brightâŠâ Time whined, and Twi pulled a nearby blanket over his head to block out some of the light.
âDinnerâs ready,â Wild said.
Eight bowls were dished out, Sky and Legend woken, and Wild brought the last bowl over to Time.
Only in reaching for the spoon, he upended the bowl completely. Wild winced as the soup fell into the grass.
Timeâs eye went wide with horror.
â âm sorry-â He started, but Wild shook it off.Â
âItâs alright, thereâs more,â He said gently.
It was the work of moments to fill the bowl up again and bring it back over. Only this Time, Wild sat close to Time and held the spoon himself.
âSay ahhh-â he teased.
â âm not a child Wild,â Time grumbled, but he opened his mouth anyways.
