Ah, the ever refreshing breath of air that smacks my face whenever I climb my way out of my apartment, or at least out of my job and out of the dismal grey area that is Athens. --Maybe also out of the numerous bottles of booze I have but, but, I swear I am healthy.

you know, ive been sitting on this post for a long time.

i always find it hard to pull myself back onto the community after i leave for any amount of time, and its especially strong as of recent. there are a variety of things that make me turn my nose up at this cesspit, a lot of things that make me discouraged and a lot of things that make me feel angry/sick/sad.

i'll start with what is my biggest problem right now, and that's the disregard for greece. i suppose this is some sort of "hate post" or "call out post" or something, and that people will hate me and make fun of me in all of their skype groups but honestly, i dont give a fuck what some assholes on the internet say about me.

greece is a complex country with a complex history. eastern europe is that way, all of it. even the most western of the eastern european countries, greece. i see people whine about how modern greek history is boring and therefore gloss over it and use that as a basis to make it so greece has only one rep thru all of history.

this absolutely blatant disregard for history that is nuanced and substantial and not western is disgusting.

you are disgusting for showing how much you refuse to learn about eastern european histories. its disgusting. ancient greek history is easy to understand, its western and its not complicated by ethnic lines. in ancient greek history it is the greeks and then everyone else. modern greek history is more like eastern europe. this community has a legacy of awful eastern european oc creators or rpers and its because no one can seem to grasp ethnic problems or relationships that wouldnt be black and white. modern greek history is stained with ethnic problems and race problems and class problems and thats why people say its boring. thats why you are disgusting for writing out modern greek history. even more, you are lazy. the greek civil war? fueled by ethnic conflict between marginalized macedonian and albanian populations. is it complicated? yes. that's why it matters.

helladios is the way he is because he is colored by modern greece. modern greece is not all happy and rainbows. modern greece is bleak and downtrodden. people refuse to acknowledge this. people refuse to put these elements into their characters.

modern greek history is important, modern greek history is not easy, modern greek history would color any greece rep who is a little modern because modern greek history started out shit and stayed that way.

another thing, this comm is pretty much the worst of the worst. bullying is rampant, being rude is the new cool, sexism is embedded deep.

i try and not be mean ever, i humor people even if i dislike them. i am too nice. should everyone be like me? probably not. but the bullying that happens in this community is insane. you cannot point out something that is really bad without getting that persons gang attacking you. you cannot try and help someone without their defenses going up and their friends kissing their wounds and telling them they are perfect. learn to grow. learn to accept criticism. no one is perfect, not even me.

also, this community is just plain rude. i have no idea how people are allowed to get away with it, but i cringe when i get on my dash and see people being openly rude. its just...awful.

and, my final point. the sexism.

a lot of my friends have female ocs, a lot of my friends have male ocs, a lot of people i dont know have male ocs, i have female and male ocs. do you know which ocs get the most attention? get the most activity? get the most followers? get the most people to rp with? the male ones.

this community gets fucking WET for male ocs with some stubble. female ocs get nothing. fix that. stop lusting after male ocs. educate yourself on the female ocs for smaller countries. embrace female ocs and rp with them. chances are, those oc creators would accept any rp. they get nothing.

oh yeah, this community is also embarrassingly horny. get a hold of yourselves.

TL:DR try and hide your eastern europe hate a little more, be nicer, take a cold shower, and consider trying to improve.
