sat cross-legged on a beach towel, daisy had music playing softly on their phone, a book on their lap, and their eyes closed as they took in the sun. it wasn’t hot enough to be wearing a bikini top, but they couldn’t have cared less — the sun was out, and that was all that mattered. at the sound of footsteps, they cracked an eye open. “you wanna come sit? it’s the nicest spot in campus, i’m not even lying, it’s so good i’d feel bad if i didn’t share.” @radopens
“Is there space?” Kasey had been walking through campus-- she’d had too much time between classes to sit in one place and wait, but not quite enough to justify the trek back to Moris and her room. Instead, she’d decided to take advantage of the nice day, with large headphones on as she stumbled over the grass in scuffed sneakers. Sunbathing had a certain amount of appeal, her sleeves were already pushed up to her elbows and she was wearing bike shorts (neon pink, with dinosaurs printed on them) and yet, she didn’t feel as though she had fully embraced the onset of summer. Already dropping her backpack Kasey plopped down with it. “I forgot sunscreen today,” she admitted, “I burn really easily. Would you tell me if I start going pink?”
