from scratch pinhole
I’m planning on just using a tin can as my pinhole. I cut an aperture in it and used duct tape to cover it to make it light tight.

Summer shoots
Analog Final
For my analog final, I plan to do a series of portraits with a body part/ most likely the eyes scratched out on the print.
Analog by Stan Brakhage
Maybe eventually recreating something like this. Create about 15 prints of the same image and vary the size and shape of the scratched out portion and compile them into a gif.
Symbolism/ composition
I want to photograph the way light affects a person’s face using light. I will most likely shoot at night so I can manipulate the light. I want to demonstrate how different a person can look depending on the light.
I will use form and light as my compositional elements.
B&W analog photographers
“
Margaret Bourke-White
Margaret Bourke-White photographed the hardships people were facing. She was born on June 14, 1904. “She is best known as the first foreign photographer permitted to take pictures of Soviet five-year plan” (Wiki).
Dorothea Lange- was born May 26, 1895, and like Bourke-White, she documented the hardship people faced through analog. “best known for her Depression-era work for the Farm Security Administration” (Wiki).
GGG Poem Blogpost
Tangled:
“the earth slows as your hand touches mine
your brown eyes intoxicate me more within time
i breathe you out so you can breathe me in
feeling the calm warmth of your skin
drunk on your lips; feeling your kiss
the curves on your body, every detail unmissed
Im screaming in whispers my love for you
can anyone hear me? youre the one i never want to lose
as the sun lets the moon breathe once more
we’re whispering the promises of “im yours”
I trace a circle on the palm of your hand
for i will love you for an eternity times ten
your head rests on my flesh covered frame
i swear the stars spell out your name
there is something simply beautiful about being in your arms
for in a world where answers are violent, im away from harm
as our bodies are delicately intertwined
i find myself tangled in the thoughts of you being mine
i remember when we first met
god i knew youd get stuck in my head”
-K.A.P.
the theme is ending love. remembering good times that you have to let go, left with the memory.
lmao
Arthur Rothstein
Arthur Rothstein documented what he saw daily. He did a lot of portraits which I really enjoy and appreciate. He documented other people through candids. I do not have any personal relations with the people in the photographs but he photographed them in a way that makes me feel as though I’ve known them forever. He is able to capture a story in their eyes and posture that just tells a story from the get go.
time lapse ideas
For my first few time lapses, I wanna be a basic bitch and document sunsets.
I could do a timelapse of something burning
Casey Neistat is a youtuber whom I respect. He makes incredible timelapses just in the city where he lives. I wanna find some beautiful views and documents their beauty in this format.
I would like to document this city’s beauty and social interactions through a very fast time lapse to show that everything is temporary and does not always last long.
I think downtown and riverside would be good starting points. I will document city life and interactions of people in the beating heart of Tulsa, which is downtown.
I may also have a subject that remains constant in my timelapse while the background continues to change to show how the whole world keeps moving even if you aren’t.
