You’re looking at the newest Elphaba.” She grinned sheepishly hoping her girl would be more excited for her than disappointed at her.

“To be fair though, most of my dates ends badly. But I am guessing that is because most of the time I get called away from it for work. Maybe I should just physically marry the job.” she joked

“I’m.. peachy.” Juliette sighed, looking up at her. “Sorry, I don’t know how the fuck to talk to you, given that you have the same face as my ex.”

Sitting at a table in the hospital’s cafeteria, she sighed. “My fuck of the day got pulled into surgery. So disappointing. I guess that’s what happens when you’re primarily doing attendings and residents. I should get out of here soon though, I would hate to run into my therapist. I’ve been avoiding that god awful woman for like.. at least two months,” Juliette muttered, picking up a few fries as she looked at the person across from her. “How’s your day going? Want a fry?” she offered.

“I was just told I am un-dateable by my date. He didn’t even tell me why, like is it because my job, my family? At least tell me why so I don’t think I am an absolute freak. Maybe I should just give up on dating.”

Xandra looked over at girl who apparently was dating her twin sister. She had been out of the loop and Lola had mentioned her being the eldest Montgomery, and she hadn’t heard good things from Ellis, but then again, Ellis was very biased. “Hope you have a high pain tolerance. It hurts more to get it removed from what I hear.”

Juliette never really went out of her way to speak to Xandra. She knew she probably should since Mia was her girlfriend, but she just didn’t want to. She didn’t care whether they spoke or not. “My pain tolerance is super high. Besides, no pain no gain, right?” She sighed. “I wonder what your sister is going to do with hers. The joy of matching tattoos is that someone else gets to suffer with you.”

“Point taken.” Xandra nodded affirmatively. “She actually likes hers though. I think. I don’t see how though because not gonna hold you, Id start those removal procedures ASAP.”

“Why does everyone in our family seem like they have a huge secret to disclose?” she asked.

“Secrets? Wh- I don’t have any secrets.” Xandra said avoiding eye contact. “I’m uh, secret free.”

Xandra looked up after hearing her name shouted, exiting her trance. “I am so sorry, what happened?”

“You weren’t listening at all?” she asked flatly, “I’m not repeating myself. I shouldn’t have brought it up in the first place.”

“My bad, Mia. Jeez.” Xandra adjusted herself and took a sip of her coffee.

Xandra looked at her blankly and shrugged. Ever since getting the boot off her tour she’s been in a slump, but she hopes she can get herself back on track soon.
