i always forget that other flights exist but when i see my gfs ice nests it always look like those shitty pidgeon nesting photos so i made this. she is very proud of herself so five stars

wanted to try out (mostly) emulating FR's designs for this dragon design by @synthaphone! plus how I thought the primary/secondary/underbelly would sit on it

I probably would have tweaked a few design choices/interpretations of mine (the wings, the feet/hands) if I was better versed in this style, but overall I kind of just wanted to explore design by looking at two different art styles. I think a lot of people underestimate the flexibility and freedom contained within a "style," especially one like FR's— which faces a combination of universal guidelines for its breeds and can, occasionally, underutilize the diversity it's displayed in the past.

I ended up headcanon-ing this version as some sort of non-flight-aligned... gnome dragon? Biggest of the small breeds, secretly fixes your squeaky doors and sweeps up, and likes to kick their feet up on a toadstool after a night of hard work.

And I would love to put a little suit on these guys, both versions.

I had a dream last night that I was complaining about how there are no Tundra npcs (because I forgot about Crim and Pink or something) and someone was like umm what are you talking about? we've had Tundra npcs for years, check the trading post. And so I did, and Crim and Pink were there but there was a THIRD Tundra. I don't remember her name or what she did but. She was Caper-colored with a bandana and didn't have unique art, just the site art blown up to fit the size of the trading post art but with her mane edited into huge Barbie-style hair with pink streaks.

whenever i get the "List 1 item on the Auction House" daily pursuit on flight rising, my go to item is an earthworm, which i of course list for 1 gem. and no one ever buys it and that's completely fine by me, because that's my pursuit worm, and i just keep him listed on the auction house for whenever i get that particular pursuit. but...recently..somebody bought my worm??? my earthworm? my pursuit earthworm? for 1 gem? and idk what to do now. i didn't think anyone would actually want to buy an earthworm, even for 1 gem. i mean i'm not mad i'm just confused. i have 400 other earthworms i'm not like having an earthworm crisis or anything. i just think it's funny that someone bought my pursuit worm.

In my little headcanon about Ridgebacks, as a fish eating breed, they are very aware how the sea can be dangerous and thus act with great deference and caution near water. Many of them have to fly for weeks on the high sea to bring back fish in their nets using harpoons or anything sharp. While they are extremely efficient in the air - like Albatros, their wings have tendons blocking their articulations allowing them to glide effortlessly for a long period of time - they barely float and try to avoid touching the water at all cost. Many of them do not return, this difficult life style creates tight knit communities where everything is shared as well as superstitious practices : fishers often have their wings covered in tattoos and protective seals in hope it will help them get home safely.
