I think one of the most heartbreaking moments of the finale to me was Cam desperately calling out Sausage's name after his death. The horrible position of having the one person who unequivocally believed in you (rightfully) becoming Enemy No.1 and being the sole person with the desire to save them and not even getting the chance.

Having to suffer alone one last time, all because the "wrong person" believed in you and you believed in them, the only who'll mourn.

Cam staying behind in the creaking heart place to look for Sausage, a Sausage that was dead was so heartbreaking

AND THE FACT CAM FEELS ALONE IN GRIEVING HIS FRIEND, BELIEVING HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO WILL EVEN VISIT HIS GRAVE MAKES ME SICK IM SO SAD I LOVE BF!CAM HE MEANS SM TO ME

(Also what’s their duo name I genuinely haven’t seen one but I call them UndeadMeadow because of Sausage being a necromancer and Cam being from Meadow hall and and yeah)

they’re a hypocrite and a liar and a coward. they’re barely more than a teenager. they had to destroy the person who loved them most for their own future. they abandoned the community they were part of as soon as the enemy side started to look more appealing. they’re in a fighter/protector profession but they’re not good enough at it despite having prepared for it since childhood. there’s a person they grew up with and shared this dream with who IS good at it and they look up to this person so so much and want to be like them. they know for certain that this person was braver than they are. they’re afraid of what the person would think of the choices they’ve made because they’re sure they would have made better ones. they’re terrified all the time. they’re going mad with doubt and shame. they just want their community to appreciate them. they’ve always wanted to help people but they keep hurting people. maker of so many terrible terrible choices but honestly who could have done better in their shoes. the character played by owen owengejuice is their biggest hater. very easy to ragebait. doomed combination of paralysing self-hatred and overwhelming hubris. wearer of green
