My Pole Journey - #1
I should start with an introduction as this is my first blog post here! My name is Kate and I want to start keeping track of all the crazy stuff happening in my life. I just finished my second year of uni, I’m about to start a new job and I’ve got myself a (fuckin’ beautiful) new Macbook, so what better time to start a new blog?
With all kinds of stuff I’m sure I’ll cover in other posts, one of my main reasons for starting the blog is to keep track of my progress in my new-found passion- POLE! I started my pole journey in October 2017 after hearing about it from a couple of YouTubers and thought I’d like to try it out as something a bit different (and secretly hoped to bring out the sexiness hidden somewhere inside me…). What I wasn’t anticipating was how much I would fall in love, and how much I ended up achieving what I never thought I could! There’s nothing more satisfying than starting a class and seeing your instructor do something you could never imagine yourself being able to manage, and by the end of the hour you’re doing just that.
It’s now over 7 months since I began, but I still feel very much at the start of my journey, and I can’t wait to keep posting and updating what I’m learning in the future. For now though, I’ll show you some photos of my progress so far, from a head stand in my first ever class, to my first invert, to my most recent achievement- butterfly!
