Republican frontrunner Donald Trump has threatened to sue Ted Cruz over the senator’s eligibility for president, saying that unless his rival stops telling “lies” he will take the issue of his birth in Canada to court. With less than a week to go until the next Republican primary contest in South Carolina, Trump also lashed out at party leaders, making a veiled threat to run a third-party campaign. The warning came in response to Trump’s complaint that he had been booed during Saturday night’s debate because the audience had been stuffed with wealthy donors who opposed his maverick run.

As a person who lives in a place with bears, I feel like I need to defend this very loud woman. She probably kayaked to the place where she is, which means that, if the bear wrecks her boat, she’s gonna be stuck.

Also, this is pretty much what you’re supposed to do when you want a bear to not attack you. Keep your bear spray up and be very very loud and annoying. If you’re loud enough the bear will probably just leave you alone (unless it is a hungry grizzly, in which case spay that thing in the face because you are about to die).

Taking a video is not suggested though.

This is not a grizzly, it’s a black bear, which is excellent news for our questionable protagonist.

In September, I went to Disneyland for a vacation. There’s a glut of marketing materials of Disney princesses in very delicate poses. You know, one leg is slightly bent inwards, the head is tilted, shiny skirts everywhere. They’re all removed from the context of their stories which gave them their personalities. To me they are reduced to bodies parading pretty dresses.

Doing a Disney princess series was always on my mind, but I didn’t want bodies to be at the forefront of the illustration. I didn’t want to do pinup or reimagined clothing choices in X century. Those are fun and great to look at, but it wasn’t something that I felt passionate about.

I guess this series is my small attempt to capture the strength of these women in the films. I loved this particular lyric from Brave and always envisioned Merida unfettered by the storm, ready to face the perils that come her way. This is the first of my Disney Women series, and I hope you enjoy it!
