A Response to Posterzine™ Issue 07

The above image is a mini magazine by Kate Moross. This piece is a member of a larger body of work called Posterzine™, which is a magazine subscription based out of London, England. What is really special about these magazines is the fact that they unfold to a full-sized poster. How fun is that?!

I chose to specifically respond to the work of Kate Moross because I adore her style in this piece. The cover of Issue 07 of Posterzine™ is attractive because of the contrast of the carefree, fun strokes but also geometric, mathematical forms that make up the pattern. The careful planning and use of a grid by the artist is apparent. I am also drawn to the charming color palette, with the bright neon tones paired with darker tones for visual rest. I enjoyed this piece so much that I actually bought an issue for myself!
