    Nevi gently peeled back the cowl-hood from her face as she peeked at what the market had to offer. There were so many people and things and smells. It was a little jarring at first after being on the road for so long, but she liked it. Her nose lifted to the air slightly so she could sniff a little better. Something smelled really good. 

     Following her nose, she was oblivious to the people that walked around her. It smelled like, was that - oof. Nevi rocked back on her heel and took a step backwards to catch herself. Unconsciously her hands reached out to grab at the nearest sturdy object, which happened to be the very person she’d run directly into.

     Her face flushed, imagining what a wild woman she must look like. Multiple braids kept crow-black hair away from an olive face, and her clothes definitely needed a launder after weeks on the road.

     “I’m sorry! I wasn’t watching!”

          The Native coyote gave a slow smile and tied off the end of the shadowhunter’s complicated braid. She was good at braids - it was easier to do more complicated braids on other people’s hair rather than her own. She gently slid the braid over Isabelle’s shoulder, fingers brushing her rune-covered neck and up along behind her ear teasingly.

          “It’s not important. Do you still need that talisman?”

Was that such a weird question to ask? Nevi looked all disgruntled. 

….Maybe it was a human thing. He didn’t have all of humanity figured out yet, and although asking for specific reasoning was perfectly normal for a demon, maybe it wasn’t for a human. 

That didn’t sound right though. Hm. 

“Yusuke as well? Oh, are you documenting the people you meet, then?” That would make sense. Relate to the people that effected your life… and all that. Very sentimental. Her connecting him to the forest threw him for another loop, though. She wasn’t wrong, but goodness, she had a strange way of guessing things. 

Kurama did his best not to flinch at being grabbed. “Yes. Yes, right. Okay. Do you even know where we’re going?” He shook his head, taking the lead as she followed along. “Up these stairs. The tracks on the left.”

               “You could say that.”

              Well, the people who she made friends with. Nevi didn’t stay in one place for too long, and she wanted to capture the memories she made and the people she met. It wasn’t even to show her family, but just for herself. And perhaps occasionally her travel blog when the person she photographed agreed.

              “Nope!” She replied cheerily. Nevi released him once he’d started to walk and beamed up at the redhead. She adjusted the strap of her bag on her shoulder as they headed for the right train. “There’s so much to see in Japan. I was thinking I’d only be here a month, but I think it’ll be a little longer.”
