Camp Fire |tangy&kat|
Still holding onto the stuff animal, she quickly looked up to the sky and tried to find a star to wish on. Once she finds a star, she’ll wish on it to not done. Maybe that would work. Maybe if that one star helped her, she could be able to continue living with Mister Gumpoo, her stuffed animal, in Elias! Yeah! Maybe she can still live and try to achieve her goal of actually doing good in this school!
But once she heard a voice, she quickly leaped and faced the direction of who the voice belonged to. Only to realize… wait… this wasn’t a sea bear. It was just a girl! A girl who looked very pretty! Without even wondering why she was out so late, she sighed in relief over the fact that it wasn’t a sea bear. She stepped out of the circle and giggled, embarassed by what she had just done. “Oh I’m fine!” she responded. “Everything’s fine! Just got a bit scared!”
“Of what?” she inquired, brows furrowing just the slightest. Had she been the source of the scare? Concern began to fill in the hollow spaces between her ribs, gnawing on the ivory bones as she mentally berated herself for committing such a deed. She was new here and she was supposed to mingle with the land-dwellers. “If it is I who have scared you, then I really do wish you would accept my deepest apologies.” Her voice may be firm, holding its very own authoritative value given as a blessing from the gods above, but it had a touch of sincerity, though faint it may be, like a thin wisp of cloud. But as she spoke, her nose caught a whiff of the smoke again and it returned her mind to the open fire nearby. This time, a dark, almost unreadable expression masked her features. “Are you trying to burn the school down?” There was no denying the conviction her voice held.
