Going to be spending my whole weekend doing homework. I’m trying to get as much done since I have two full shifts on Monday and Tuesday.
[09.06.16] i wanted to thank everyone for reaching 100+ followers <3 by making a to-do list/thing printable!
It includes:
to do list
top 5 priorities
h2o level (i love this word)
mood face where you doodle in your own lil current mood :)
ideas/notes
graph paper area for doodles! or whatever you want.
Download: pdf // png
/please tag me #miennstudies or mention me if you ever use this :) i hope you like them ;)))/ (my printer kinda sucks so the colors dulled out :/ )
{8/100 days of productivity}
Calligraphy game!!
Hey babes!! I’m trying to learn calligraphy, so I thought you guys could help me practice. Here’s how it’ll work: you’ll give me something to write and then I’ll upload it here and tag you in it to have! Fair warning, I’m just starting out so I’m no artist, but it’s fun either way!
how to get one:
I’d prefer to just to this for followers, so it’d be great if you followed me x
Reblog this post with what you want written in the tags (your name, url, a word, etc)
You do not have to send an ask, just reblog and i’ll take care of the rest!
I’ll choose some randomly and post them over the next few days!!
I’ll do as many as possible until I run out of paper or my hand falls off ;)
Could you do my url (Kates Study)?
Everyone always says "Study like Hermione Granger" or "Study like Rory Gilmore." While these are great people to look up to, why does no one ever say "Study like Jemma Simmons?" She not only attended SHIELD Academy and finished top of her class, she went on to be a fantastic scientist and can take care of herself in the field. She is smart and strong. So I have decided to create the hashtag (it's never been used, I checked) #studylikejemmasimmons. If you want to use it, please do!! If you have no clue who I'm talking about, I would seriously recommend watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Also, if you love Marvel as much as me, go follow my other blog @avengersandshield
I’m sorry that I have not been active in so long. I was taking so many dual credit classes I was extremely overwhelmed! I plan to become more active this summer and throughout next year. I will be a Junior in High School next year and was wondering if you guys had any advice for preparing for the SAT/ACT. Thanks. :)
COLOUR COMBO 1!
I’m planing to do this kind of thing every few posts. I don’t know where this will take me but I hope everyone enjoys!
I was asked to make a masterpost on websites like Codecademy, so I’ve tried to compile a list of the best (and mostly free!!). In no particular order:
1. Codecademy [x]
I couldn’t not include Codecademy! Just in case you haven’t checked it out, it’s pretty neat. It has courses for learning languages and web developer skills.
Languages: Python, Ruby, Java, PHP, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML/CSS
Extras: Git, SQL, Command Line, AngularJS, Ruby on Rails
2. Code School [x]
This is pretty similar to Codecademy with the in-browser coding and such. It also has additional features like teaching videos. A good introduction to programming languages.
Languages: Python, Ruby, Javascript, HTML/CSS
Extra: iOS development with Objective-C or Swift, Git, SQL
3. Learnaroo [x]
Has tutorials followed by mini challenges based on the concepts you’ve just learnt! It also has some reference pages called “Learn x by Example”. Looks pretty good.
Languages: Python, Java, Ruby, HTML/CSS
Extra: Algorithms, Mathematics, + a bunch of premium membership stuff
4. Learn …
A set of related websites (see below) which have mini tutorials on language concepts followed by mini challenges, similar to Learnaroo.
Languages: Python, Java, C, C#, JavaScipt, PHP, Shell
5. Code Combat [x]
Basically, it turns learning to code into a game! As you move through the levels, new concepts are introduced, so the code you need to write to play the game gets harder.
Languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, CoffeeScript, Clojure, Lua
6. Codingame [x]
Similar idea to Code Combat, but a little more advanced.
Languages: Python, Java, Ruby, C, C++, C#, Haskell, VB … there’s actually loads it supports.
7. Code Wars [x]
This is more for ‘training’ with a language you already know. It offers plenty of practice through challenges, so it’s really good for improving your coding skills.
Languages: Python, Ruby, Java, C#, Haskell, JavaScript, CoffeeScript, Clojure
8. Coderbyte [x]
This offers some video tutorials and challenges for a few languages, plus special courses on specific algorithms and bootcamp/interview prep. You need a premium membership for quite a lot of things, though (e.g. I don’t think you can watch any of the videos with a free membership).
Languages: Python, Ruby, JavaScript
Extras: Algorithms, Bootcamp Prep, Job Interview Prep
9. Free Code Camp [x]
Mini tutorials followed by mini challenges. Has a number of courses on the languages below!
Languages: HTML/CSS, jQuery, JavaScript
Extras: Git, Algorithms, + a bunch of projects to complete
10. Programmr [x]
Has courses to learn various languages through doing little exercises/challenges in the browser, similar to previous examples. Also has ‘zones’ for more languages, where you can find challenges, example code and projects people have shared.
Languages: Python, Java, C++, C#, PHP, jQuery
11. CheckIO [x]
Only offers Python, but I still think it’s really great. You move from level to level, getting challenges which are gradually trickier. Learn by doing!
12. Rails for Zombies [x]
For people who already know a bit of Ruby, but nothing about Ruby on Rails! Each level begins with a short video followed by interactive challenges where you program Rails in the browser.
That’s all (for now!) Hope this is helpful! (ノ^∇^)ノ゚
I'm taking a coding class and don't really know what I am doing. Definitely going to try some of these.
06•05 | here is my weekly bujo spread and im quite happy with the way it looks huehuhe c: after 2 months of using this i think i can finally say that i am proud of this layout hheh

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I decided to take a much needed break to work on a few things. I will be posting more in the future. I know that this is a studyblr but I just started taking Psychology this semester and I really enjoy what is called the Myers Briggs Personality Types. I am an INFJ. The INFJs are the most rare personality type, making up only 1 percent of the population. We are extroverted introverts who strongly rely on our intuition. We are known for almost belonging everywhere, yet never quite belonging anywhere. When we write, we sound “like poets”. When we speak, our words cannont form a concise sentence. We are the real old souls. We notice everything. We can detect fake people and lies. We feel people’s pain as if it is our own. We are perfectionists and we are not easy to impress. We are INFJs.
Famous INFJs:
Adam Sandler, Audrey Hepburn, Benedict Cumberbatch, Emma Watson (there is debate she could be an ISFJ), Johnny Depp, Tom Hiddleston, and many more.
Fictional INFJs:
Frodo Baggins, Bruce Banner, Remus Lupin, Mulan, Atticus Finch, Gandalf, Albus Dumbledore, Dr Strange, Pocahontas, Theodore Lawrence, Greg Lestrade, Jean Grey, Elsa, Captain America (could be an ISFJ).
Quotes:
“The smarter you get, the less you speak.”
“The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.”
“She was a quiet rebel. She wasn’t loud or in your face but she had a mind of her own, she couldn’t be told what to do. She’d be polite and then still go her own way.”
“How beautiful is it to stay silent when someone expects you to be enraged.”
“She was simple. Like quantum physics.”
“To a great mind, nothing is little.” - Sherlock Holmes
“You get hurt, hurt ‘em back. You get killed... walk it off.” Steve Rogers
“There is some good in this world worth fighting for.” - JRR Tolkien
“Think of all beauty still left around you and be happy.” - Anne Frank
“Sometimes people are beautiful not in looks, not in what they say, just in what they are.”- The Book Thief
“Don’t feel stupid if you don’t like what everyone else pretends to love.” - Emma Watson
“When the whole world tells you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth and tell them ‘No. You move’” - Civil War
“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view - until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.” - Atticus Finch
I had fun putting all of this together, as the personality types are really interesting. If you want me to do more on the INFJ, another type, or to stop putting this kind of stuff on here, let me know!

sat tips!! ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ
hello!!!!! i recently took the sats on 21 jan and i compiled some tips about the respective papers so i decided to write ‘em up in a post. i hope these help!!!!
paper 1: reading
read carefully. this section is something you can score in.
while answering follow up evidence questions, make sure the quote actually supports the previous answer.
the phrasing and vocab used in the questions themselves are important!! pay attention to them!!
when finding stuff from the passages (esp. science based ones!), be careful. pinpoint exactly what the question is asking you, then choose the most accurate answer.
paper 2: writing + language
make sure to read the previous and the next sentences for contextual clues.
when doing grammar/vocab questions, put the answer back into the passage to see if it makes sense as a replacement.
paper 3: math (no calculator)
this paper has to be done FAST, but don’t compromise accuracy. do it once, but do it well.
simplify whenever possible.
check. one correct answer is better than 3 hastily done questions that turn out to be wrong.
don’t give up. work down to the last second.
paper 4: math (with calculator)
no careless mistakes can be afforded here.
c h e c k. you have a calculator, you have no excuse not to double check the hell out of every calculation you did.
good luck with your sats everyone! (╯˘ -˘ )╯
