so jealous of fic writers who add songs that fit chapters. how do y’all even do that? everything i listen to is annoyingly upbeat, i’m basically a disney princess. how tf do i find tracks that match sad emo boy vibes?

the annoying part is all my “sad” songs are kinda feminine, and they do fit Jax, but then what do i do with his “i’m a tough guy, yo” side?

basically, i wanna say: all authors who manage to find music that fits the vibe are insanely cool. i really love when fics include song lyrics or mention what characters are listening to in the background — it just hits different.

how bad would it be if, in my fanfic, Jax is sadly listening to songs from Hamilton just because that’s what i listen to when i’m sad??? lol i can already see him suffering to “Burn” XD

First, thank you for all your fic recommendations both on here and Twitter (I refuse to call it x lol). A lot of them are ones I've either seen already (I binged everything funnybunny when I found them) or they're new ones that I ended up loving! So thank you, both for the new recommendations and the fact you have such great taste!

Second, I love your art and am jealous at how good you can draw!

Oh my God, I'm always so happy when my recommendations end up helping someone!!! Every time I recommend something, I wonder whether it'll resonate with other people, but I genuinely think some fanfics are just too good not to share hahaha. 😆

Ooooh, I'm honestly freaking out about my fanfic for so many reasons. I've been writing it for quite a while now, but until recently I'd only published it on a Russian-language site (there are already 19 chapters, and I'm currently working on Chapter 20). I've wanted to start posting it in English, but I wasn't sure a translation tool would be able to do it justice. Still, it seems to have gone much better than I'd imagined. At least for now, the feedback has been really positive.

I'm still ridiculously nervous about the whole thing, though.

The Aftershow by @munchiemooz and @chubs_duce is obviously the most popular, but that is for a reason.

The Honor Student Who Didn't Belong by @roowhat is another pretty popular one that is really good. (Fun fact: actually the fic that got me on AO3!)

Medieval Hallucinations by lukewarmbubbletea (don't think they're on tumblr) is an underrated masterpiece.

The Amazing Traveling Circus by @kicsterash is another one I like (though it's a slowburn and not too into the funnybunny yet.)

The Overwhelming Light Surrounding Us by @snowdrops-and-sunflowers is a really sweet one

The Memory Lane Disaster by @introvert995 I've really been enjoying.

The Amazing Traveling Circus by LittleSunnie (I don't think they're on AO3) has really good character dynamics.

The Amazing Digital Circus: Wild West AU by @gedspar is another hidden gem with so much effort put into it

No You Can’t Take A Break! (Your Our Brightest Flame!) by You_Are_Loved_143 (not on Tumblr as far as I can tell) is great for the Jax angst.

LOCK by Imyoshi is a great oneshot.

There are probably more I could recommend, but I think that's a good start.
