It was a rare thing the peace and quiet Ayden found when she opened her eyes just shy of 10 am. The quiet didn’t last long when her phone started to ring. It didn’t shock her at all to see that the caller was her uncle. Knowing him the way she did he would be asking her to dinner that evening. The call didn’t last long. They usually didn’t but as always she was unable to talk her way out of dinner. This left her with trying to come up with a dish to bring. By one that afternoon she was still undecided with the sudden craving for fruit lead her out her front door and to the local market. It didn’t take her long to fill her basket with countless different kinds of fruit. With only apples left to get she made her way over towards them. Not really paying attention to her surroundings she walked right into someone’s shopping cart. “Oh! Sorry, I really do need to pay better attention to where I’m going,” she apologized.
Katie had put off her shopping and now all she had at home was some cup of noodles which wasn’t much but she’d eaten worse things. She knew she had to get some actual food though so that she would have something to eat that she would actually enjoy. She was heading down the fruit section, those were good snacks, better than chips but she’d bought those too. She had a mix of healthy and unhealthy which worked perfectly for her. She was in her own world when she felt her cart hit another one. “Shit.” She muttered before looking at who she ran into. “No no, It’s ok. I wasn’t really paying attention either.”
