It’s been two weeks since Kathrin didn’t step outside of her apartment. Locked inside with all her emotions and thoughts, her pain and rage almost drove her insane. Sitting in the corner with a wooden stake in her hand she’s shoot a glare at the clock that was ticking loudly, breaking the deadly silence that’s fallen to the small room in the past few days. Her luggage packed and closed next to the door, it was time for her to decide. To decide if she’ll end it all with tearing her heart open or switching her humanity off and leaving Korea.
She pressed the sharp edge of the stake against her chest, letting out a hiss as it’s scratched her skin. A small teardrop ran down on her cheek, she was way too weak to do it. She wanted to live.
But what life is there for her to live?
Her eyes fell shut as pictures of her friends appeared in front of her. Will they miss her? They probably will… But what about him?
What about the man who she loved unconditionally, whom she smiled at oh so brightly even when he’s shattered her heart with the words that left those plump lips? Will he miss her?
The question was left unanswered, and she’ll probably never know. Without any further hesitation she’s got up from the ground and threw the stake on the bed, grabbing the luggage instead and only putting in down in front of the main door. Kathrin took a last glance at the living room, then walked to the kitchen to grab the pen that she was keeping next to the fridge all the time, to write a short message on the sticky note that was taped on the wall beside the door. She knew Kibum would check up on her again the next day, but she didn’t want to wait any longer. There was nothing left here to stay for.
“I’m gone. Don’t look for me, by the time you’re reading this I’m somewhere far from Korea. It’s for the best. I’m sorry. I’m turning it all off. I love you, Kibum.
Goodbye.”
