Kathrin's never been the one to make friends, in fact the ones she had knew her from way back from her human days. It wasn’t really that she couldn’t make friends, she didn’t want to. Letting people in has always been something she tried to avoid in order to protect herself, however she couldn’t deny that it was good to meet new people at times.
It’s been about a week now that she’s met Jongin. Kath didn’t know much about him, but the first time in forever she wanted to get to know the male better. He seemed really interesting, even though they didn’t have the chance to have a long and proper conversation the first time they’ve met. It was at a party.
For Kathrin it was hell of a bore, she was just about to leave when she bumped into him. How they started the conversation? In all honesty she had no idea, the only thing she remembered was his name, and that he looked twenty-something. A light hum slipped past her lips as she turned her gaze at the huge display window of the café, watching the people of Seoul pass by in a hurry. What a shame that she never asked for his number. It would’ve been great to have some company at that morning.

A small raise of his brow as he heard a female’s voice. He could have sworn he was the only one around this area at the time, so having that person speak so suddenly surprised him in the slightest bit. Even that for him was rare. Turning to face her, he gave a slow blink before speaking. “Um? I don’t think so. Did I look like I needed help?” Jongin asked curiously. “When did you get here anyways?”
With her coat clung around her, her long brown hair in a ponytail, a hand resting on the strap of her handbag; she was walking home alone after closing her cafe for the day till her footwork halted as her eyes focused on a younger man by the street lamp. Being the curious person she was, she took light steps towards him, offering her help.
"I only assumed you needed help since you're out alone at night, sir." she simply said in reply.
"Only recently. Couldn't you hear me walking over?"
( ` with a small tap on the other's shoulder, jongin held in front of the male a small item. )This seemed to fell out of your pocket, looks valuable. I called out to you, but you didn't answer.
[ ` There's a light flinch when his shoulder is tapped, a few flutters of his eyelids before he turns to face whomever it is standing behind him. His hearing aid isn't with him this very day, and it's unfortunate. He furrows his brows for a second, attempting to read the motions of your lips, understanding bits and pieces, head tipping to the side as he glances at the item. It is indeed his and he flashes a thankful smile. ´ ] Thank you. [ ` He sounds a but off when he speaks, prosody incorrect, and it has a good explanation. Though he doesn't want to speak of his disability, he finds it a bit improper not to do so, in this situation where he has missed out on someone speaking. ´ ] I'm sorry for failing to respond. I-I'm deaf. [ ` He explains, voice a bit shaky; silent and almost fragile. He doesn't want to be too loud after all. ´ ]
