They were bad for each other, they both knew that. Their relationship started wrong and was filled with mistakes from both sides. They knew they had to be away from each other, for their own good. But that didn’t mean they couldn’t make some big mistakes together once or twice again.

That’s the reason why Elena had woken up so disturbed that morning. She knew she had fucked up. They had fucked up. Again. And she also knew that slip would cost them another relationship discussion, something she was trying so hard to avoid. She knew she couldn’t resist another of Katherine’s attempt to get back together.

That was the whole problem: Katherine knew they shouldn’t be together but she didn’t care. All she cared about was being with Elena. She didn’t care if that hurted other people’s feelings. She just wanted Elena.

That’s why, after another slip night, Elena got out of the room in a rush, leaving Katherine with a big smile on her lips, knowing that “staying away from each other” situation wouldn’t last long.
