“As June runs into warm July I think of little else but you.”
— Wendy Cope, excerpt of “From June to December” (A Summer Villanelle)
I’ll save a spot for you in case you come back.
CHARLOTTE HEYWOOD and ALEXANDER COLBOURNE SANDITON — Season 3 Episode 6 (2023)
I want to breed you Katiegirl. I want everyone to look at you and know that I've claimed every part of you as all mine.
I need you to fill me again. I want you inside me forever, Ro. Only for you.
James Lloyd Cole
Thick sticky ropes has stolen my breath away. Everything has been a lot lately. I'd literally kill to feel you underneath me.
Her belly was swollen and every day it felt like her breasts were becoming more and more sensitive. There wasn’t a single moment that her thoughts wandered away from the life that was growing inside her – the seed he had planted and that they were nurturing together, but there were days she knew her husband needed her.
“Ro? What is it?”
She had heard his footsteps in the hall from where she had been curled up in their bed but the pause between his entry and sliding between their sheets was far too long. In the end, she had sat up, pulled on the satin robe that barely covered her belly, and padded down the hallway to where he was standing in the kitchen.
He kept his back to her but she could miss the slight shift of his shoulders as he sighed. “Nothing, Katiegirl. Just a long day.”
She crossed to him, tried to slide her arms around his back only to realize her belly was too big now, so she leaned against him instead. “Do you want to talk about it?”
His arm slipped around her shoulder, his mouth found her temple in a lingering brush of his lips before he answered. "Not really."
His strong body was tense, but started to soften as she began to stroke her hands along his back and chest. She hated to see him like this, hated that he was reluctant to share his worries with her.
“Maybe is there something else you need?”
Her hand drifted lower as she spoke, brushing over his groin. His breath hitched. She looked up at him and found his eyes closed, barely breathing as she explored him.
Her heart swelled with love for him. “I’ve missed you, Ro. I’ve missed your mouth on me, the feel of you inside me. I want to be a home for you," she whispered. "A sanctuary. Come to bed with me, fall asleep inside me. I want to keep you warm.”
He groaned then gathered her face in his rough palms as he pressed their foreheads together. “Katie. My Katie.”
“I’m yours,” she reminded him pointedly. “Do you with whatever you want. All yours, Ro. Whatever you need.” Her hands found his, pulling them away from her face only so that she could use them to tug him after her to the bedroom where she undressed him, pushed him gently back against the sheets and crawled in beside him. He spooned behind her, kissing her shoulders, whispering quiet words she couldn’t decipher as she reached back behind her and took him in hand so that she could guide him into her slick channel.
They both moaned softly as he slid home and settled there, just a gentle rock of his hips as he cradled her, running hands over her side and her belly ever so gently.
She turned her face for a kiss. "Fill me up, husband. Whatever you need... and you don't have to be gentle this time."
