Cold Coffee
Katie zipped the last of her equipments and collapsed on the floor in exhaustion. Her faded blue hair sprawled all over the carpet covered surface, though her mind was somewhere else. She thought of the things that made her year here, in Thompson, a great one. From meeting her long lost adopted sister to taking care of one bitchy Thornhawk, it truly has been a wild ride. She tucked her hands under her head while she kept staring at the empty blank space that is her ceiling.
Her train leaves in an hour and she was honestly tempted to just ditch it, stay in Wales and wait. Wait for Kennedy that is. The idea itself is messed up, especially after Logan got her thinking. He didn't wait for her, so why should she? But you really really liked him.. She thought, liked being the keyword.
If she did have more time, maybe she would've or could've but the truth is, she didn't. She had wasted enough time waiting for something that was never coming back. The ringing of her phone signals the arrival of the taxi she ordered long ago to take her to the train station. She opted for the land transport due to financial problems.
The girl stood up and brushed non-existent dirt out of her jeans and swiftly grabbed all her belongings that is cramped into a tight, medium-sized luggage. She left a note for Summer on the foot of her bed, just to let her know. It's not like she didn't warn the blonde girl of her plans to return to her hometown, but more of the finality of her leave. That she won't be back next year, or the year after, or ever.
Katie took one last glance of her dorm, the room she had called home for the last year. She exited the said dorm and locked the door, indicating her permanent departure from Thompson.
