Catch Up Cocktails {Leighton + Katie}
After doing very little for her birthday, Leighton was glad to be able to get out of the apartment for the second time today for much needed catch up with one of her closest friends. Filming had kept her away from most things recently though it was slowly coming to it’s end, part of her became sad since bonding with the majority of the cast and crew although there was more of her excited to just be able to relax as well as invest some time to look around her new home without the random in and out journeys. She knew a lot about Vancouver but in reality, it just scraped the surface. Being away from her friends also made her feel awful about not being as involved in their lives as she could be yet if she had all that available time, she’d be able to be there for Katie if anything else happened, surrounding the whole mishaps of Rupert.
From showering away and then brushing her teeth, cleansing her skin, giving herself much preparation so she wouldn’t be late for their meet up. Drying her hair, she let it settle for a moment to allow her time to apply her various make up products and finally straightening out her hair. Leighton changed into one of her favourite dresses and topped it with a pair of heels, when she had finished the rest of her. One last look over in the mirror, she picked out a jacket and a handbag, placing her essentials into the bag before spraying on deodorant and perfume, followed by putting on her jacket and heading out to the bar.
Katie was glad to be able to catch up with Leighton once again. They'd become instant friends on Gossip Girl, and that friendship had boiled over into Monte Carlo, and now Katie could easily call Leighton one of her best-friends. Which was why she always jumped at the chance to catch up with Leighton. She had a lot to tell her, but she was also excited to hear how Leighton's birthday had been.
Rupert was meeting with his therapist tonight, so she left a note on the island letting him know that she was meeting up with Leighton, and that she'd call if she needed anything. Double checking herself in the mirror, she tossed her hair over her shoulder, picked up her purse, and headed out to meet her friend.
She made her way to the place Leighton had suggested, with just a couple quick stops on the way. She still managed to arrive early, and picked up the bouquet of flowers and gift bag for Leighton before heading in. Katie wandered to the bar and didn't see her friend, so she sat down and ordered them each a glass of wine.
