FINAL EDITS:
These are my Final edits for my LP cover. i cant decide between them they both have a different style on them but the same basic idea.
FIRST TEST EDIT:
My first test edit for LP cover. I wanted to test some ideas out on this image. I am aware its not the size for an LP cover but i was just testing different things out on photoshop to what I could do to create a brand new album cover for Bruce Springsteen Born In The U.S.A
TEST SHOOT/ FINAL SHOOT
ALBUM COVER IDEA:
For this project i have chosen to do Bruce Springsteen Born In The U.S.A. I am going to change the album cover slightly by using a Woman as my model.
PEER ASSESSMENT
PEER ASSESSMENT BY : MELISSA STRICKLAND
Gone out of your way to find different ways of taking a self portrait.
Good composition on your final Image.
Maybe more contrast on the Image in the future.
I think that these points are very fair and I agree with them profusely.
FINAL IMAGE FILM IS NOT DEAD PROJECT
This is my final Film Image for film is not dead project. This is a self portrait inspired by my gothic mood board and and test shoot shot on digital. I shot this Image using my pop up studio which consists of one soft box, one hard light, white backdrop. I also used a wireless flash trigger that works with DSLRs and electronic Film Cameras. The Camera that I used is a Pentax that I borrowed from college.
I then developed the negatives and printed several copy's of this Image in the darkroom. Two Images came out with this smokey cloud effect around the Image, which I liked so decided to go with that print. I scanned the image in and edited it in Photoshop, by doing some skin smoothing and using "Gradient Map" to create a dramatic black and white effect.
over all Im pretty please about how this image turned out. I had my doubts about doing this type of shoot on film, it been self portrait an all, but it work out quite nicely.
SELF PORTRAITS FINAL TEST SHOOT FILMISNOTDEAD
These are a few self portraits towards one of my ideas I may be using for my shots for film is not dead project. My idea is based off music and gothic related things from my mood board. I did this test shoot from home using my pop up studio and used my DSLR because it was a lot easier to test shoot with and I could practice with lighting before I go on to test and shoot with film.
FINAL MOODBOARDS FILMISNOTDEAD
For my final idea i have mixed three genres together Gothic, Fashion, Religion. These are a range of different images from each genre.
FILM IS NOT DEAD TEST SHOOT CAMERA: Mamiya RB67
For my Film Is Not Dead project I decided to look at Gothic/Dark fashion. I found that most of the images I was looking at had quite dark shadowy lighting, I didn't want the whole of the image to be fully in light I wanted the left side of my model to be in quite dark shadow and gradually moving on to the right side to become lighter. I feel that my test shoot for this project worked quite well I am happy with most of the Images that I shot on my roll of film. I love the lighting and will definitely use this lighting set up again when using this camera for my final images. The one thing that I hope to achieve again when I Re-shoot is the shadows and contour of her collar bones.
